If the reports you produce are so far distanced from reality that they require the largest revisions in 50 years, a month later, then maybe you need to fire whoever was in charge of producing those highly inaccurate reports and hire someone who can do it better. Oh wait. That's what happened.
Did the guy who told you about the Haitians eating the dogs and cats tell you that? Its about as accurate.
Obama had a bigger revision in 2009....and he didnt fire the messenger. And he didnt make up pussy stories about "Deep State". Good leaders like to hear the truth and deal with it. Those numbers are used by the Fed to set monetary policy. They are used by markets. They impact everyone. This kind of major miss over two months is unacceptable to everyone except those democrats who never met a bureaucrat they wanted to fire.

The FED doesnt make policy one any one month of data. And stopping the reports (which is what the new dipshit wants) doesnt improve the problem you are complaining about. Nobody including you has put together a better method. THis is just catering to president crybaby who doesnt want to hear the Emperor has no clothes.

Its a broken system. My company was in the cpi poll. I was responsible for sending in the data. If I wasn't busy I did it. If there changes you crossed the old numbers our & wrote in the new
Some bureaucract would then have to transcribe my numbers & hopefully did it correctly.
it wasn't online & you mailed it in.
Unemployment is done the same way, but it was a longer form
Participation has gone from upper 60's to low 40%
Then after all this data is sent in, a bunch of bureaucrats huddle up with a secret sauce & make "seasonal adjustments ".
