Non political

Our group is slightly smaller than planned due to a friend's wife's cancer and a friend's father's death (I'm at the age I guess), but there will still be 15 of us at Golden Gate from October 22-25.

Saturday noon thirty Purdue vs Wisconsin game at Hennessey's

Saturday night dinner at Carson Kitchen

Sunday Ax throwing and lots of pro sports watching in the "Big Room"....aka Golden Gate Penthouse suite

Monday will be spent drinking heavily and plenty of black jack.

Tuesday a few guys are golfing but it's get away day for most of us.

Wednesday is a vacation day for me.

Woo woo!

Sounds like a good time will be  had by all!  Especially on Monday...LOL.  Cheers for a safe and happy trip.

Sounds like you have a great trip planned. Looking forward to mine as well :)  Maybe one of these days we will be in town at the same time and could have a drink together.

Three of us have a 6:00am flight to Vegas from Indy this Saturday, arriving 7:05am.  I'm an early riser, but this will require an alarm clock even for me.  I'll head to the airport at 4:15am, which means a 3:30am alarm.

I failed to list one of our milestone events on my first post.  We always do a 7pm first night cocktail/pizza party in the "Big Room", aka Penthouse suite in this case.  Here's a Youtube video of this suite.  We always need a place that's big enough for about 15 guys.

Our group is traveling to Vegas from California, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Arizona, Indiana, Colorado, North Carolina, and New York.

What airline you flying out of Indy and did you get a good deal?

I booked Southwest back on April 1 at $400.50.

Yikes, got my flight for $179.  Spirit with luggage out and Southwest back. That's why I don't fly out of Indy anymore. Could have went all Soutwest for $247.

Yeah, SW really boosted prices this year in Indy.    Every now and then Fromtier will have cheap flights to Vegas....it just never aligns with my vacation.    Hoping it's just a temporary thing while they backfill all the pilots that need to be rehired after the pandemic

I know I could save money driving elsewhere or flying at different times, but I don't want to drive and I want to leave in the morning going to and from Vegas.

PJ & Boiler, next time you want to go, check Delta out of Cincinnati. They have daily direct flights to Vegas that depart at 6 AM and after watching these fares for a month I can see they fluctuate between $198 and $298 RT.

Boiler my calculation is a little different because anywhere I fly out of I have a 1.5 to 3 hour drive to the airport.
