My gosh, this woke crap has to stop.
"Chief Black Hawk was a war chief born in the 1700's and known for a war with the US that took place decades before the Civil War. The US chose to honor him by remembering him so in WW1 (the Great War at that time), close to 100 years after the death of Chief Black Hawk, they named a regiment after the Chief. One of the members of that regiment went on to own a hockey team in Chicago (the area where Chief Black Hawk lived at one time) so he decided to name the team after this War Chief and also his regiment. Considering that more than 50% of our states are named to honor Native people we have a lot of names to change if we plan to hide the history of the Native people. Not sure how it is less racist to stop honoring a native person. Will more people know the story of Chief Black Hawk if the team name is changed?"
