If the policies of the President of the United States have zero impact on the price of gas, why were Skeletor Pelosi and Little Chuckie Schumer (and most all Democrat political hacks) constantly attacking President Trump in early 2018 because of a brief spike in gas prices? Oh my God...it went all the way up to 3 bucks a gallon! I guess that means you're all 'really fucking idiots'. Well maybe that part's true.
And Keviepoo, you do realize that statistical analysis pretty much finds correlations in data that point to the causes of all kinds of issues and phenomenon right? And when you do have a series of correlations it often really does point to the cause of issues.
You're trying to make a point that all of the anti fossil fuel rhetoric, policies and actions that have come from the current administration did not cause these price increases....because the fact that those increases followed those actions doesn't mean they caused them. Dude, it doesn't mean they didn't cause them either. The same people who blamed Trump for their butt pimples give Joe Biden a pass on every fucking failure from record inflation to the botched Afghanistan withdrawl.
The problem is voters know where the Buck Stops. Even if it's only worth 50 cents now, it stops with 'The Big Guy'....well for Democrats at least 10% does.
Well, Charles, I give you props for at least understanding the concept. That puts you waaaaaay ahead of our other conservitards and all the RepubliQ assholes who are bleating about "Biden's high gas prices."
Where you're stumbling is in failing to realize that the petroleum market is global--and even if the President somehow had the power or influence to make the domestic price of gas fluctuate, the US is only a fraction of the global market. If somehow the bwahahahahaaaaa conspiratorial actions of Biden made gas prices artificially high, wouldn't we then buy more from Canada and other foreign suppliers? Oh, wait, we do that!
There's no way that the simplistic thought processes of the average American voter can be improved. They think: 1. Oooh, bad thing! 2. Who am President? 3. Joe Biden! 4. Bad thing am Biden's fault!!!! Which is idiotic but also typical, and yes, the same thought process occured when the Orange Turd was President. There was a lot of shit that actually was his fault, and he's a loathsome human being to boot, so that's why he lost. But not one in a hundred voters, on either side, actually considered the impact of his policies.
Which leads me to my point. Many of the actions on Tommie-poo's stupid list were taken for very good reasons (and not everything on his list is factual, but I'm not going to bother to pick it apart), including environmental concerns. The sole purpose of our government should not be to maximize shareholder value for large corporations.
For those who endlessly bleat about California, and point out its high gas prices, they should realize what it was like in densely populated areas like L.A. before auto pollution controls--including the mandatory production of low-emission gasoline--were put into effect. It was, to put it simply, fucking horrible. It's MUCH better now. But they could have kept the price of CA gas nice and low as everyone slowly choked to death.
