NYC'S Annual Budget is Double Tokyo's

There is no stated 2 thread starting limit imposed - for anyone.

Whether or not such a limit exists, or whether one might apply specifically to Miller, many posters have expressed a desire for him to not attempt to dominate the Sink with an endless flood of daily postings. I think it would be common courtesy for everyone to observe a two thread daily limit. Again, not because of any rule as such, but because the members who post here appear to want that.

Mr. Miller can not stop--his whole life must be reading right wing post on Facebook fed to him by algorithms and then posting same to LVA.

It is in fact grossly racist to imply that Tokyo has a smaller budget than NYC because the latter city is more racially diverse.

In fact, Japan's long-standing hostility to non-Jaoanese people has led to them having the oldest population in the industrialized world, and an economy that is in dire straits because of the shrinking ratio of workers to retirees, which has fallen below 2:1, unlike anywhere else in the world.

Why has that happened? Because their racial homogeneity has been brought about by shunning immigration. Repulsing immigration means that coupled with a low birthrate, the working population rapidly grows older as more people retire and are not replaced by new workers.

Boilerboob loves to cite Labor Participation Rate as the be-all and end-all of statistics showing the health of a country's economy. Japan has the worst LPR of any developed nation.

That's what racism and racial homogeneity get you.

Yes. He's being racist. Like the idiot rando whose post he copied, he's implying that NYC's racial diversity makes its budget, the cost of operating the city, larger.

Japan has for its entire history been one of the most racist nations in the world. During the wars it fought, it was horrifyingly brutal to the peoples it conquered. During peacetime, it has largely excluded non-Japanese and made it nigh-impossible for guest workers to live there, even temporarily. The effect has been that their economy, with an aging workforce not bolstered by immigration, is inexorably slowing.

So far from racial homogeneity being a strength, as David's stupid post implies, it's a significant weakness. Tokyo's budget includes huge amounts for elder care and medical facilities, which would be smaller if their nationalistic racism hadn't resulted in a critically aging overall population and a resultant low worker to retired adult ratio.

I imagine that most, if not all, cities in America would like to have these attributes - Pros of Living in Japan Safety and Security: Japan is exceptionally safe with low crime rates, allowing people to walk alone at night or leave belongings unattended. Public Transport and Infrastructure: Trains and subways are reliable, punctual, and cover almost all areas, making cars unnecessary. Healthcare System: High-quality healthcare is accessible, with the government covering of medical costs, making it relatively affordable. Cleanliness and Convenience Cities are very clean

Yes. Japan has many positive attributes. If you're Japanese.

There are cons to go along with the pros. Japan is an extremely conformist society. The security comes at a cost. And the workdays and workweeks are much, much longer in Japan: 70+ hours per week is common. Taxation is very high, to support the social safety net and the aging population.

In fact, Japan has many of the features that conservatives in the US endlessly whine about, so I wouldn't recommend it to MAGA.
