Here I am agreeing with Kevin again. What is the world coming to? LOL.
Certainly population density affects the spread of any contagious disease, especially in early days before officials and people get a handle on it. Remember the curve principal? Early spikes in the disease overtax systems.
We just had our first death. 91 year old man in the hospital. No other details, just happened.
Our state confirmed cases are now 218 (up from 206 on the chart), not a huge number but will increase, probably as I type this. Around here the restaurants seem to be abiding by the rules. Traffic is really light even at the usual rush hours, so I know folks are staying home.
Chick-Fil-A long lines (ALWAYS long here before C-19) makes me think about the risk when speed of service is necessary; (especially suddenly speedier than usual) you have procedure work arounds at best, breakdowns at worst. Terrible if you work in a hospital, the worst scenario is having crushes of patients waiting to be taken care of and half your staff home sick. I know around here they are cancelling elective admissions, doctors offices doing the same. More critical cases of course aren't cancelled or being denied admission. But employees get fatigued, fatigue leads to errors, hospitals or any business.
Praying our curve flattens out sooner than later.
