They've been peaceful neighbors, good friends, business and cultural partners, and strong allies. Canadians and Americans are each others' friends, relatives, guests, traders, vacationers, guests, and hosts. They have a strong and well-deserved reputation for being nice, kind, and good people.
There have been many times when they've come to our aid. They've fought alongside and bled and died with us. Billions of dollars' worth of goods and millions of people cross our border, the longest undefended border in the world. There has never been a war between our countries; no army has ever crossed that border.
We have a special relationship that is almost unique. And now, Trump is shitting on that relationship. And what for? Why?
As far as I can tell, it's because Trudeau wasn't sufficiently subservient to the Turd during his first term. That seems to be it. Trump is an 80-year-old toddler who holds grudges long past their spoil-by date.
(And please, MAGA fools, don't bother Vance-prattling about fentanyl. That's just a pretext for Turdvenge.)
If any Canadians read this, please accept my apologies for all the shit undeservedly flung in your direction. For the first time ever, I'm ashamed to be an American. But I know you'll forgive us--you're good people, in the most fundamental sense of the word.
