WOW! Rightdownthemiddle, That was an astounding amount of elbow grease you put into using your...

If I remember correctly when this was just starting at the end of December, beginning of January, ALL our leaders were wasting time on a useless impeachment hearing.
You remember incorrectly. Trump chose not to participate in the Impeachment hearing. And it wasn't useless. If you break the law and use your office for corrupt purposes, you need to face the consequences. All the republicans, save Mitt, have gone on record voting that Trump is a fit person to hold office. I don't think history will look upon them kindly.
And these were Trump's decisions to make. Firing the pandemic response team, rejecting the WHO tests to develop our own, calling it a hoax and fake news until last week, making the decision to not test people so his numbers looked better, focusing only on the market, not making sure there were working tests and enough protective gear, gagging the CDC because he didn't like what they said were all things Trump and Trump alone is responsible for. Congress couldn't have done anything because all of those decisions were the purview of the Executive Branch.
The socialist healthcare systems around the world are failing their people worse then ours and Bidens plan mirrors everything Trumps doing or did. I think most level headed people realize that the CDC manufactured the tests wrong which isnt Trumps fault.
Did you drop some acid before you typed that? Look at South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and yes, even China. New outbreaks are on the decline in those places because they undertook aggressive testing and isolation. We aren't even up to third-world standards.
To date, we still haven't figured out how to make working and then how to mass-produce test kits. Even if we eventually do, we don't have the lab capacity to process the tests. We didn't take the Commie WHO's test kits and contracted out to the private sector to develop our own because of you know "capitalism" and we are relying on the private sector for labs. It isn't working and that is because a for-profit healthcare system that is designed to focus on rationing care to maximize private-sector profits can't scale to handle a pandemic. It isn't designed to.
I also think most people are realizing that if limited supplies of medicine is available, citizens should receive it first. Speaking of medicine, most people are now learning that we are way too dependent on China and need to bring manufacturing back (like Trump is trying). And finally they are realizing that the final line of defense is oneself and maybe having access to a gun is a good thing.
It doesn't work that way. If you don't treat everyone the virus spreads. The for-profit corporations made the decision to rely on communist China to mass-produce goods a long time ago. Perhaps some regulation and not the free hand of the market should have made that call at least when it came to medical supplies?
And finally they are realizing that the final line of defense is oneself and maybe having access to a gun is a good thing.
A gun won't protect you from a virus. The ultimate weapon is coughing, sneezing or shaking someone's hand.
