Oklahoma City succumbs to terrorists amid COVID-19 precautions

Mayor rescinds protective measures in response to threats of violence

Oklahoma City is reopening.   Out of respect for safety the city had past an ordinance requiring  patrons to wear masks while entering stores.   The "small dick club" found that to be a huge afront to their freedom.   SO they made annonymous phone calls to stores threatening to shoot and kill management.

The mayor has now deemed this to be a bigger threat than the virus and has since lifted the mask requirement.

''...Good people...'' - trump.

Why did you call them PJ?

Funny how they all prepped themselves by stocking up on dried beans and canned meat and guns and ammo. But then they have to go six weeks without Applebee's, they flip out.

Bullys are usually cowards.

Not wearing a mask in public should be a crime.

(So should being a gun-toting, mouth-breathing Trumper yahoo, but we're not there yet.)

Thank God I don't live in Trump Land!

Trump land is SO grateful that you don't live here too.

Ohio has also fallen to the horde of Neo-Nazi and White Nationalist terrorists.  The governor's reopening plan called for everyone to wear masks when in public spaces.  He has since decided that it was too big an ask.

DeWine reversed the order Tuesday, saying many Ohioans saw it as “one government mandate too far” and saying face coverings were strongly recommended but would no longer be required. He repeated that sentiment Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” calling it “a bridge too far” and saying, “People were not going to accept the government telling them what to do.”

This is going to turn out very bad for the country. States are ignoring the guidelines the Federal Government put out for reopening with Trump cheering them on.  I know in my own state we are still experiencing an upward trend of new cases yet it is full speed ahead.

When the shit hits the fans conservatives here and everywhere else are going to shrug their shoulders and say who could have known.

Ignorance really IS bliss eh?

It's not Oklahoma City. It's Stillwater, OK.  Home to Oklahoma State University.  One reported case of use of a firearm by a mask hater, more cases of threats and verbal abuse directed at the store clerks who tried to enforce the mask ordinance. My wife and I wear masks, to lessen the odds of getting the virus.  Some of the mask protesters have also attacked people wearing masks.

If the anti-mask people don't want to wear a mask, that's their business and they'll have to suffer the consequence of getting the virus and passing it on to their families and friends.  Not smart on their part. Any one else choosing to wear a mask?

You don't wear a mask to protect yourself from the virus. Depending on its composition, it does a moderate to poor job of keeping the virus away.

The reason to wear a mask is to protect others. If you are carrying the virus, it will be expelled from your nose and mouth, and a mask will partially stop that. If you cough or sneeze, there will be much less dispersal.

So the primary reason to wear a mask is out of consideration for the safety of others. Anyone who refuses to wear a mask, saying "It's my risk to take," has it exactly wrong.
