On the Green New Deal

Tom wet his panties again he needs more than a tissue.

The American Action Forum estimates this will cost almost $100 trillion

1) Universal health care $36 trillion

2) jobs guarantee could be as high as $40 trillion

3) Low carbon electric grid $5.4 trillion, plus higher electric costs to the consumer

4) eliminate air travel $1.3+ trillion

5) Renovate housing $1.6+ trillion

6) high speed rail $2 trillion

What a co-ink-ee-dink !    RightWingMouthBreather.com  came up with a similar estimate for the program..

Funny thing is - costs dont add to the deficit unless they are not paid for...  So while Tom and his birther-websites cry about the ficitional impact of a plan that has not been legislated or even found its way  into a committee ...the actual government Tom voted for is ringing up a trillion dollars a year in borrowed money.

I call it the Freedom-Caucus-Hypocrite New Deal.  Fiscal-hawk, Tom,  is a big subscriber.

These are the programs all the democratic candidates are running on at a cost of an additional $10 trillion per year.

But in pj’s world somehow they don’t count

And the Republican idea of privatizing Social Security costs trillions of dollars too - but since its not scored in a bill or given the opportunity to be paid for in a bill I dont jump up and down pointing to a ghost that doesn't exist.

Tom has big issues with fiction as presented by birthers - and not reality as enacted by birthers.

(And its worth saying again - Costs dont add to the deficit unless they are not paid for.    Tom's mouthbreather think tank didn't compare the costs of single payer healthcare over the next 10 years vs what Americans pay for private care.   They just assumed their readers would be too constipated to thoughtfully  consider.   Probably a good bet.)

The medicare for all program includes no deductable, no copays, all costs covered (current medicare has those payments & restrictions).  That in itself would increase the costs of the govt program, which currently has a $50+ trillion unfunded deficit.

Converting homes to "green" is expensive.  For example NYC is renovating apartments to reach those goals at $2,000 per apartment. Extrapolating those costs over the entire country is staggering.

All the candidates who endorse this plan have yet to offer a way to pay for it.  When pressed, they dodge the question.

The SS unfunded deficit is over $13 trillion, which the democrats refuse to acknowedge.

Tom states real facts - PJ insults and blows smoke, without offering any meaningful soultions . Nothing new here...

Here's the bill Democrats put forward last month to address Social Security.  And the best part is - they didnt use dynamic scoring - or tell the public another country will pay for it.  Republicans have no counterproposal.  I left lots of space below for Tom to pretend to be upset about it.

Democrats acknowledging the thing Tom says the dont acknowledge

There's also lots of space below for Tom and David to continue their support for Trump's record deficits while getting upset about the fictional one democrats created in an alternate universe.    Have at it !

Oh - And while we're on the subject of blasting the cost of things that have not been legislated.....does anyone know how much Space Force costs?    I'm sure Tom and David want to know.    Tom has a website he can submit it to.

Tom said, The medicare for all program includes no deductable, no copays, all costs covered (current medicare has those payments & restrictions).  That in itself would increase the costs of the govt program, which currently has a $50+ trillion unfunded deficit.

Yet, the Koch Brothers funded Geroge Mason University study found that such a system even with zero out of pocket costs would cost less than the system we are currently paying for.  So Tom can cry all he wants but even when a Conservative institution tries to stack the deck towards the result they want it still comes out cheaper.

Tom and Doc think America is a vastly inferior to every other first world country in the world that has figured out how to provide universal care for their citizens at a lower cost than our system that leaves a vast swath of our citizens uncovered or undercovered.  According to them, us dumb old Americans aren't smart enough to figure it out.
