Once-in-a-lifetime: Hilary poses catastrophic threat, forecasters say

God is giving Southern California an enema - like it's namesake, expect a lot of fast moving air  --- https://apnews.com/article/hurricane-hilary-mexico-southern-california-7fddeb8c6eaf2e6cb8893dfe4db838fe

Kinda like when your mom and dad had sex the day you were born.

It explains your brain damage and why you're a cock baby.

It's not that big of a deal. There will be flooding. That part of CA has had serious flooding before--like, last winter.

"not that big of a deal" - tell that to those who will experience what is forthcoming.

Whoa, Kevin.  How much flooding would have to occur to call it more than a "big deal?"

Have you ever had flooding in your home?  Frozen pipes broken and you weren't home to shut things off?  Much of your furniture/belongings destroyed?  Experienced loss of power, living space and the like for several weeks?  Had your ceiling fall through, or your house float away?

The hassle of working with whomever might give you some recovery money...eventually?  Spend nights in a shelter with strangers, clothing provided by the Red Cross or other disaster agency?  Fire?  Tornado?

I hope you were kidding.

If you have insurance...it's a hassle to be compensated, but it's not a tragedy. My friends were flooded out of their condo last winter, and yes, they had to stay in a hotel for two months. But they probably profited from the deal, as all of their furniture was replaced with new stuff, plus new floors and carpeting.

My house at the base of Mt. Hood was flooded to a depth of seven feet one winter when I was away. I had insurance. The place was uninhabitable for a month. I was compensated.

My friends in San Diego had to live in a hotel for two weeks when their home was flooded and all the drywall had to be torn out and replaced. They had insurance.

So...if you're prepared...inconvenience. Possible expense. But tragedy? Not unless you take NO precautions at all.
