Hooker was a Civil War general. He voted Republican.
A well worn line adapted for many other things. I last heard it about hookers and lawyers, in the movie The Rainmaker.
It is funny, though.
Candy
Hmmm, based on the ongoing Regime Change and World War III, I feel like I am still getting screwed.
Did someone dust off an old Friars Club book from the 70s?

Comments like this are what make me think that Candy is a Miller ally. I wonder if she'd chortle if instead of "Democrats," the slogan used some group she belongs to, like "Christians."

I have no choice but to dump an additional $150-200 per month directly into Trump's pocket, between Turdiffs and the Asshole War, so I'm definitely getting screwed, and so is everyone else, including the MAGA morons who dance around and wave their tiny dicks every time their piggy master makes a new pronouncement.

Not funny, like it is with lawyers........how about bankers?
Although Republicans wouldn't stop screwing us, even after we run out of money. Just see what is happening now.

I've gotten a little tired of lawyer jokes, since lawyers perform a critical and fundamental service/function in our society, and I respect the hard work and time it takes to become one.
Bankers are powerful because we allow them to be. They serve their employers, not us. Which is why our interests are irrelevant to them. The only antidote is to deal with them as little as possible. But they don't take away our money--whatever they get from us, we give to them freely.
It does seem pretty ludicrous, as well as hypocritical, to see MAGA scumbags complain about Democrats taking away our money while simultaneously dismissing skyrocketing gas and food prices as "inconsequential" and "temporary."

It was funny in the movie. That's all.
