Opening up the economy

Always an idiotic "it's Trump's Fault" rant from Kevin.  He spouts the same crap month after month, year after year, when , in the end, he is found to be wrong. Truly pathetic.

Its looking like May is going to be the target.      Governors are anticipating rampant testing will be available.

Lets hope they are right.

Not so fun fact - the next shoe to drop is  states and municipalities  quickly running out of cash.   The lifeblood of local governments:  sales tax, property tax, moving violations, tolls, gas tax....

People aren't buying things right now...and they are also late with property tax payments..and they are not driving.   Cities and states cant print money like the Federal government so when they run out of cash cops, firefighters, and teachers dont get paid.

Probably a good bet when this is all over you'll see a jump in your local taxes to fill in the holes.

Of course, that'll be necessary. What worries me is on the federal level. We need to roll back the corporate and billionaire tax gifts. Returning tax rates to what they were in 2017 will restore almost $2 trillion to the Treasury.

With that done, the Feds can provide direct grants to the states to provide to municipalities---based not on political "loyalty" but on need.

Unfortunately, Trump will have to be given the bum's rush before any of that can happen.

I always blame Trump because it's always Trump's fault. Trump wants to end social distancing and reopen the economy. Stalker apparently disagrees with that. Where's the Trump-love? Where's the loyalty? Is he saying...gasp gasp gasp...that his orange hero is WRONG??? And will Stalker admit it?

President Trump does not "want" to end social distancing - he is being pressurd to end it. He "wants" a measured ending that will get the economy back on track while limiting the future effect of this virus. There is a difference, one that Kevin can't or eon't grasp - as usual.
