Our defensive strategy

I'll link to this guy, who is an even-handed, mega-published doctor and academic. The key point he raises is:  whether someone is "senile" isn't really the (provable) issue. The point is whether you want someone mentally degraded (but not technically senile) as president of the US. And what it says about both the US and you if you do. The issue has to do with where people set the acceptable-as-president bar.

He says the obvious -- being president requires a high mental bar. The question isn't whether Biden is so degraded as to be incompetent. The question is whether he qualifies mentally to fulfill the job of president.

These are pretty obvious perspectives, but you don't read or hear them. You mostly get false dichotomy stuff (he's either "good enough" or "senile"). "Good enough" doesn't really cut it.

Let me get this straight......It is a verbal slip when he refers to Kamala as VP Trump or Zelinsky as President Putin?

Is it significant when he does that once or twice in dozens of hours under intense scrutiny,?

Bonus question: how many verbal gaffes has your orange hero made?

Yeah, but you're not answering the true question. Who would be a better President?

I for one would take a fumbly old man who means well rather than a 100 percent functional evil, nasty fuck who wants to destroy our government and make himself king

Does asshole vs. not-asshole make any difference to you?

Really depends on your definition of asshole I guess. I for one am an asshole.

Me too.  Total asshole.  But a pretty smart and successful one.

Kevin is a lunatic Joe apologist.  To each his own.

And no, I'd never fuck up with those gaffes like Joe made in those two statements.   If I did, I'd say I'm losing my mind.

You didn't answer my question. Which is better for the country, a fumbling old man who means well or a narcissistic asshole?

The question has never been "Is Joe still good enough?" It's always been, "What's the alternative?"

And the alternative is too horrible to contemplate. Do you agree? Or do you want to bow to Trump because Biden is an old man (we'll ignore for the moment that Trump is an old man, too)?

This is silly. If you wouldn't trust a man like Biden to drive you around the block or solo babysit your grandson, how can you possibly vote for him to be president?

You're just voting for an avatar, in this case your personal avatar.

I'm voting for not-Trump. Get it?
