Our President

"When I was vice president, things were kind of bad during the pandemic," Biden said near the beginning of his remarks. "And, what happened was Barack said to me: ‘Go to Detroit – help fix it.’"

The only problem is that Biden wasn't in office when the pandemic happened.

Good ol' Joe.........He meant the Great Recession, but you knew that.

Gee, with Boiler's insatiable appetite for historical accuracy on the part of politicians, I certainly expect him to post examples of Trump getting times and dates of events wrong, making basic factual errors, mistaking one person for another, etc. etc. Because we know that Boiler's not just being partisan--he has a voracious need for da trooty troot.

Everyone has a major gaff at times.  Only Biden has one daily.  The debate is going to be funny...but not for Liberals.

Trump has at least one major gaffe (that's how you spell it) every time he opens his mouth. The only reason we haven't heard much from him lately is that his judge told him to STFU.

Actually, Joe Biden has had a major gaffe daily since about 1980. One of them basically forced President Obama to come out in favor of marriage equality. After the passage of Obamacare, President Biden said it was a "big fucking deal" to Obama on a hot mic. And while he usually cited Neil Kinnock as the source of one of his favorite stories, one time he forgot to and it destroyed his bid for the Democratic nomination for the presidency.

So Biden making a gaffe is like bob lying is like Boilerman playing the victim is like David being David. It's not news.

Ultimately, what either one of them says at a given moment doesn't even matter. What does matter is the overall message each one is sending. Biden wants to continue and expand the benefits afforded the American people by the infrastructure bill and other reforms. Trump wants to weaponize the government and go after anyone who has ever criticized him, a la Stalin or Putin.

I absolutely loathe anyone who chooses Trump over Biden, for that reason alone. I want my tax dollars to go toward improving my life and those of my fellow Americans, not persecuting Trump's enemies. But millions of idiot goobers apparently disagree with me, so...!

Here are the rules:

Gaffes are disqualifying for presidential candidates.

90 indictments and convictions of fraud, sexual assault, and well documented tax cheating aren't.  Never mind an attempted insurrection and continued lies regarding the conspiracy theory that caused it.

Thanks for laying it all out!
