I'm temporarily in a very very very conservative area. The local Gun Love Cafe makes a mean omelet. I call them that because the first thing you see when you walk inside is a poster with a gun pointing right at you.
I'd like to share the following overheard conversation (earlier today):
Goober A: The deficit is $1 trillion! Damn Biden.
Goober B: Well, it was a lot bigger last year.
Goober C: Yeah, I think it was $2.7 trillion.
Goober A: Damn Biden.
Goober C: Supposed to be because of all the stimulus money.
Goober A: Yeah, Biden and his socialist nonsense.
Goober B: Actually, the deficit in 2021 was because of programs passed during the Trump...
Goober A: Yeah, a trillion dollars. Damn Democrats.
Goober B (to Goober A): Actually, that was...
Goober C: I was really helped by the stimulus money. Helped us keep the shop open.
Goober A: Damn Biden socialism.
Goober B (to Goober A): You know a smaller deficit is better, right?
Goober A: Whatever. It's all Biden's fault. He stole the election.
Goobers B and C: Could we get the check, please?
