I hope every Republican candidate next year lectures the voters on how "booming" and "wonderful" the economy is.  Let me suggest a slogan:  "The Economy is Great, you  Voters are Wrong."

The voters took Biden to task for not staving off inflation quickly enough to suit them, even though it had subsided below 3% by election time. Given that level of unforgiveness, I wonder how they're reacting to Trump deliberately increasing inflation.

He asks why we didn't kick up a fuss when inflation was high. We've told him that was because we had the brains to realize that it was a worldwide phenomenon and to blame any one country's leader for it was grossly stupid. That simple concept didn't sink into his withered brain.

But we can kick around numbers till the cows come home, and Tom will pay attention to the ones that supposedly prove his point (that Trump is God) and ignore those that don't. And for the purpose of election outcomes, what the people think about the economy matters much more than what the numbers say. And right now, people are starting to get really pissed off at the Turd.

The best Republican slogan would, indeed, be "The Economy is Great"--- I really hope they adopt it.
