The country cannot run multi trillion $ deficits indefinitely & if they taxed millionaires @ 100% there would still be a deficit.
Liberaks can pretend otherwise, but economics don't work that way.

Actually, shortbus idiot, the country CAN have deficits, even very large ones, indefinitely, as long as the COST of those deficits can be borne--and because the US pays a very low interest rate on its obligations, it can.
But your shortbus gang is endangering that, because the threatened shutdown is already degrading the US's credit rating, and it will be much worse if they actually go through with it.
Stupid Tommie-poo.
It all depends on others willing to buy the debt. At some point there may be more debt than the market can handle.
And stupid kevin probably hasn't noticed that interest rates are way up and continuing to go up; along with our debt being downgraded.
Interest payments are up up to $800b now and expected to go over $1t soon.

"Way up" doesn't change the fact that whatever those rates are, the US will be paying the lowest on its obligations. That debt is premium on the market, and will continue to be as long as idiots like you aren't running things. If our debt is downgraded, that will 100% be the fault of the RepubliQ--the gang that keeps saying, "We won't pay our bills."
Unbelievably stupid fucking Tommie-poo.
From January 2017 to January 2021, tom never complained about the deficit. I am quite sure of that.

And you definitely pointed out that it had been caused by the Trump tax giveaways.
Riiiiiiiiight.
A shutdown will cost Americans billions, just like the last time with criminal defendant Trump at the helm. And remember, Trump got absolutely no concessions in the final bill.
