The highest concentration of undocumented workers is in food and construction. If you exempt those two industries the deportation plan becomes a joke and nothing more than performance art.
You need not worry though. I suspect these new deportation polices will only be carried out in blue states. Texas & Florida will become sanctuary states.
Because there are some nonviolent, noncriminal migrant workers that contribute to economically vital industries that domestic labor doesn't want to participate in.. The "green card" and EAD temporary work permit process could be altered to accommodate workers who have no criminal records and a clean work history. Those processes could be accelerated and made more efficient. All these alternatives would involve an expedited but stringent vetting process. If these approaches could be implemented, then the economies associated with these industries could be less disrupted and involve a vetting process to render these workers legal on a temp basis.
