Pathetic Trump voters beg Trump for an exemption from his deportation plans

Nines, why should they be granted exemptions? Trump stated his deportation plans cleary before his election.  Shouldn't the people get what they voted for?

The highest concentration of undocumented workers is in food and construction. If you exempt those two industries the deportation plan becomes a joke and nothing more than performance art.

You need not worry though. I suspect these new deportation polices will only be carried out in blue states. Texas & Florida will become sanctuary states.

Because there are some nonviolent, noncriminal migrant workers that contribute to economically vital industries that domestic labor doesn't want to participate in.. The "green card" and EAD temporary work permit process could be altered to accommodate workers who have no criminal records and a clean work history. Those processes could be accelerated and made more efficient. All these alternatives would involve an  expedited but stringent vetting process. If these approaches could be implemented, then the economies associated with these industries could be less disrupted and involve a vetting process to render these workers legal on a temp basis.

But, they're brown (EWWWWWWW) people, so they're going to be dragged away regardless of their status or legality. After all, do you really think that the MAGA/Trump deportation policy is rational? I'll answer for you--it's not. It's based on race hatred.

You're correct that these workers contribute to our economy and perform a much-needed function. Therefore, hauling them off to death camps is like shooting ourselves in the foot. Quite aside from the immorality of such an action.

A vetting process such as you mention would be extremely time-consuming AND very, very expensive. Why not take a laissez-faire "vetting" approach? If they've kept their noses clean and are employed, let them be. The vast majority of them are simply trying to survive and maybe improve their lives. For all the MAGAs bleating about troo-bloo fundamental American values, this basic way to regard immigrants seems to have escaped them.

I think you should boycott every business that hires illegal immigrants.      See what you're left with.

You can go ahead and cancel you next Vegas vacation.

Nope. They have to be vetted. I disagree. Brown or periwinkle for that matter has nothing to do with this.

There are no plans to vet anyone. Trump's plan is to deport every "illegal" using the military.  Never mind that a lot of the folks he promised to deport are here legally.

If you can point out  Trump or someone in his new cabinet saying something different. I'd love to see it. Just post a link.

You voted for a military roundup of all illegals and some legals. You voted for deportation camps. You are getting exactly what you voted for and that is a wonderful thing.

It sure is gonna be fun watching those farmers and construction companies trying to hire people away from good paying full-time jobs with benefits to  part time jobs with no benefits doing grueling labor in the  heat.

What is the pay per-hour gonna have to be for roofers and vegetable pickers to make that possible?

Maybe not in your worldview, but race is surely a motivator for MAGA to support this plan. Or are you telling me that the Nazi Lite Party and Hitler II would be spouting off about death camps for WHITE people?

Your recommended vetting process would take years, even if Trump's Gestapo has ten times the staffing it does now. What's likely to happen is that a lot of people will get the bum's rush, unless they can afford a good lawyer.

I also expect deportation exemptions to be given to anyone who pays Trump a certain amount, cash only. Most people won't be able to afford that, though.

Skilled labor in outdoor conditions generally commands $25-35/hr, plus benefits. Immigrant labor is paid at a bit above minimum wage; two instances I know of are fruit pickers in California's Imperial Valley making $9/hr plus housing and transportation to and from work, and construction workers in Phoenix making $12/hr with minimal benefits.

So since labor is roughly half the expense in those two industries, having to at least double wages to hire white people will raise consumer costs by about 25%. Has a nice symmetry with the Trump tariffs, doesn't it?

Of course, that scenario assumes that we can even find replacement workers, given that the Biden economy has given us functionally full employment.

This is the stupid shit you voted for, dumb MAGA fucks!

Look, my Turkey Day weekend is already severely compromised by the fact that I have to endure watching my inept NFL football team (the Cowgirls) out of life-long habit. I don't need further punishment by being involved in the discontented effervescences in here regarding issues none of us have control over beyond our votes. Plus, I can always listen to similar wild hyena (or snow monkey) sounds on you tube ( you know, in the event the football game gets out of control early on, etc.).

Pass the gravy..and the pie. Happy Holidays, etc.

Currently, California's minimum wage is $16 an hour for all employers regardless of size (except where a higher local or industry specific minimum wage is set such as certain fast food workers and certain healthcare workers)
