"Cracks down on" is the wrong terminology, because there's nothing illegal or against regulations about those shows. I suspect the servicemen enjoyed them.

Well, surely you've seen all the vicious anti-transgender shit recently perpetrated by the RepubliQ, including many discriminatory laws. Since the military is mostly a conservative organization, this is a political sop to the anti-trans gang.
I doubt that this whole movement is anything but faux outrage. Impossible that anyone would really be offended, and if they were, I'd say "Well, don't watch it." But look at all the politicians who have scored big by bleating "woke woke woke woke woke" lately. "The base" gets all stimulated when some RepubliQ tool decides to "stick it to dem libburuls."
Consider the thought process that led David Miller to post this thread in the first place. Celebrating the choking off of free expression is never a good thing--even if you don't like that expression. ESPECIALLY if you don't like it. Next time, it might be you.
