Personal Savings

Well, sure, it's a complete lie that Harris is responsible for everything

This week both harris and biden both said that they were partners when it came to making decisions.

“There is not a thing that comes to mind … and I’ve been part of most of the decisions that have had impact,” Harris said

President Biden praised his Vice President Kamala Harris for handling "everything from foreign policy to domestic policy" under his administration

Reflecting on the past nearly four years, the president stressed, “We spend a lot of time together,”

The President makes final decisions. Not the Vice President. The VP has very little power. The VP is one of many advisors to the President.

Of course, if you MAGA morons want to bitch about something, she suddenly becomes immensely powerful and can thus be blamed for whatever the Beef of the Day is.

Stupid Tom.

Why argue that point at all--Millerscum's idiot post implies that personal savings rates are affected by who is President--which is a very, very STOOPID idea.

And as we all know, personal savings shot up becaus of the pandemic and the sharp drop in consumer spending it caused.

But if Millerscum wants to flog the idea that the President is responsible for everything that happens during his term, I guess he's blaming Trump for the pandemic. I'm fine with that!

Harris says she is the change candidate but she agrees with all of Biden's decisions. So can't be the change candidate.  Just more of the same.

Only 28% of the country thinks we are on the right track.

Your opinion means less than nothing, stupid Tom.

She agrees with all the decisions that Biden made. If elected, she will be making her own decisions. That's the change.

Stupid Tom!

Actually, Kevin, tom is right. Vice Presidents don't get to run away from the track record of the presidents they serve under.

Now back to the real issue that obviously escapes you and Candy: According to the meme, 2021 was a great year for personal savings. Who was president in 2021?

tom, you can play along if you want to.

So we need to blame Mike Pence for everything that Trump did? Seems unfair. He had less power and influence than a bunny rabbit in a cage.

I resist the question you're asking, because the substance of the question, raised by Millerscum, is really, really, really stupid. Who was President then? WHO CARES???? The spike in personal savings was caused by the economic slowdown that was the result of the pandemic. Neither Trump nor Biden deserves credit or blame for any change in the personal savings rate!

And who said that Harris is trying to "run away" from the record of the Biden administration?? Tom's idiot, moronic, ridiculous point was that Harris couldn't possibly offer change, because she agrees with Biden's PRESENT policies. What Tom may not understand is that the future will occur in the future. Change, by definition. And her campaign message isn't that she's offering change from Biden. She's offering change from Trump, who, whether we like it or not, is still infecting American life and politics.

Its kind of a dumb metric given the time frame dont ya think?

People were locked down and unable to spend on discretionary expenses while also getting checks from the government during COVID.    Where do you think that money went?   Then COVID ended and people spent the money they accumulated while they were locked up.   Hence Vegas and the booming experience economy since.

So I dont understand.   People are complaining they arent locked up anymore getting checks from the government?   Apparently.

The whole thread is dumb.  Of course Covid is a huge part of this.  But MP chiming in about 2021 like he is smart or something seems kind of desperate.

Hey PJ, in another forum you mentioned traffic is awful there right now.  But how about going from downtown out to Henderson and back a few times.  Can I just go East towards Sunset blvd and around? How is that with construction?
