Poland Accidentally Invades Czech Republic

"Czech officials say the incident happened in late May near a small village known as Pelhřimovy, just across the border from Poland. They added that their diplomats immediately notified their Polish counterparts, and that Polish soldiers are "no longer" present at the site, which Czech nationals can again visit as they wish."

Hey !  Stuff happens.

[For the record:  Poor old DonDiego's Grandmother was of Polish extraction.]

Given that they're both EU nations, what would have been the problem?

Lets hope they're right about the soldiers no longer being there.  Putin also said there were no soldiers in Ukraine.   And he said it very strongly.  He was very strong about it.    Very strong.

Does anyone know how strongly the Czechs were in their statement?

"The Czech Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Zuzana Štíchová, made clear there were no hard feelings about the little dust-up."

The Czech authorities should have pounded their chests and threatened to "rain radioactive fire" on Poland. Y'know, the Trump approach to diplomacy.

That the Czech republic is not a nuclear power wouldn't have been an obstacle. You can pretty much buy anything on Amazon.

Although...the dispute could have been settled amicably with kielbasa---perhaps in exchange for some Pilsner beer.
