Gosh, probably 1,000 news articles have coverd the lack of training, failed background tests, criminal records, the failure of open book tests that are supposed to be closed book tests, failed physical fittness tests, the inability of some of these recruits to read at a high school level and on and on. I think it is fair to say that a lot of these new ICE agents are the worst of the worst. A lot of them wouldn't qualify for work as small town part-time cops.
And these stories were researched by real journalists that follow journalists standards vs the paid opinion commentators you frequently quote as non-biased fact based news.
They are supposed to have 22 weeks of training before they go into the field. Trump has reduced that number to 6 and a half weeks. I believe that is a 70% reduction in training for new hires that are being placed into urban law enforcement scenarios that seasoned ICE agents and certainly Border haven't been trained for.
Who knows maybe Trump will put ICE agents in charge of security at the next Olympics?

You and every other rational, sane person knows that your statement here is bullshit. The Trump administration has ICE agents doing apprehensions in other states throughout the nation - none of which have the same issues as seen in Minnesota. The Minnesota altercations are caused by (1) the refusal of Walz and the Mayor to allow the local police to assist ICE, (2) these same two corrupt morons refusing to work with ICE as they mandate releasing criminals instead of holding these criminals for ICE to pick up, (3) a well funded, "protest" faction behind the scenes orchestrating the obstruction of ICE while ICE is performing their mandated, legal apprehensions of illegal alien criminals, (4) the DemocRATs seizing on the opportunity to fan the flames instead of working with the Trump administration and demand that Walz and the Mayor to work with ICE, and , of course, (5) the lying media twisting the truth as they also ramp up the populace with lies and feigned outrage. (6) Lastly, do not forget that everything that is happening now is a direct result of the criminal actions of the brain dead Biden/cackling, lying hyena Harris/traitor Mayorkas refusal to close the border which allowed millions of unvetted, illegal aliens to enter the United States. --- I believe that Walz and the Mayor are doing this to deflect from their association/ participation in the massive fraud being investigated in Minnesota.

Well, the topic is kind of played out...we know exactly what happened and don't really need an expert to explain it. I don't think there's any rational "use of force" policy or procedure that can even sort of "justify" what happened to Preti.
So the only remaining consideration is whose fault this was--on every level. And we've already had the usual MAGA suspects tell us that Preti pepper-sprayed himself and then shot himself ten times. Wow, it was tough to pull the trigger that tenth time!
And we also hear from our MAGAs "if you don't want to get shot, don't attend protests against the noble policies of Glorious Dear Leader President Donald Trump." So they firmly believe that protesting his actions is an extrajudicial capital offense and warrants summary execution.
In light of that point of view, it's kind of pointless to talk about use of force policy. MAGA is evil and irrational, as is their orange god. You don't have to get esoteric to know that what Trump's thugs are doing is grossly wrong. Is it right for government agents to execute protestors in the street? I don't think we need deep analysis to answer that.
