Hey, it's only went down 950 points today. Don't worry, Davey Facebook will have another post soon about how the falling economy is all just a Democrat conspiracy against Trump.
David, how the hell was the economy ruined under Joe Biden? Yeah, there was the expected inflation coming out of the pandemic, but that improved by late 2024 (and we did a lot better than most other industrialized countries), unemployment was way down, the stock market did well. Trump spent four years talking about how terrible things were, but I sure didn't see it that way.
I agree that a short-term drop in the Dow isn't that meaningful, we'll see where things go over the next 6 to 12 months. For what it's worth, no qualified economists think that Trump is doing the right things.
