It's about time, isn't it?
If there's even a single Democrat defection--Manchin and Sinema are the obvious possibilities--then the seat will remain vacant. The RepubliQ have pledged to unanimously block everything that Biden wants, so all 50 of them will vote "hell, no." Moscow Mitch is really good at keeping the troops in line.
Even if the new nominee is confirmed, it'll still be a 6-3 conservitard court. Its recent decisions confirm that it's no longer an objective or impartial court. The six conservitard justices have shown that they have no respect for the law or democratic institutions; they were stuffed in there to overturn Roe v. Wade, and that's what they're going to do, regardless of the three sane justices' objections.
Of all the ways that Trump shat on this country, packing the Supreme Court is the one that will stink the longest.

Shouldn't the puppet masters pick the person they think is the most qualified. By limiting themselves they are limiting the pool to only 6% of the population. How is the affirmative action pick for vp working out?
I wouldn't be surprised if they pick Harris. This would eliminate their vp problem & line up someone to replace sleepy.

The Republicans didn't pick the most qualified person(s). They picked a religious fanatic, a rapist, and an evangelical anti-abortion crusader. Which made them perfect candidates in Republican eyes.

6% of the population is a hell of alot larger than the list Trump was handed by the Heritage Foundation of pre-vetted judges that were determined to be activist conservative agents. He openly bragged about it - and it now represents 3/8 of the court.
Biden should nominate Rosie O'Donnell just to be a mirror image of the any of the three nutjob clowns Trump put in. But I suspect he'll get someone who actually gives a shit about the Constitution instead of crusading for a psychotic religous cult.
In a country where freedom of religion is one of the most cherished fundamental concepts, should its highest court be dominated by fanatics who not only adhere to a particular religion but enthusiastically support forcing American citizens to do so as well?
Because freedom of religion also means freedom from religion. You can embrace your medieval values all you want--but don't try to force them on me!
