The polls you cite don't ask the followup question of how much in additional taxes are you willing to pay - $5,000, 7,000 10,000 etc.
"To whom much is given, much will be required." The correct term would be to whom much is EARNED. If you raise taxes to high, it encourages people to either reduce their earnings or move to another country. In either scenario mark gets less money, so the threshold for "rich" gets lower
Is this the study you reference? a study over the summer by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University estimated it would cost $32.6 trillion — $3.26 trillion per year — over 10 years.
Analysis by The New York Times in 2017 showed at least 74 million Americans who currently benefit from Medicaid would potentially face higher taxes under "Medicare for All.
States such as California, North Carolina & Vermont have all backed away from these plans due to the high cost.
Again nobody has come up with a solution for the huge medicare deficit, but mark wants the govt to take over everything to run a VA system.
Although the data is from 2007, IRS data shows the top 10% earn $3.6 trillion. So if you tax the top 10% at 100% mark & company won't have enough money to pay for health care, never mind the $6,000 giveaway, free college & the other fantasy plans.
