Promises made, promises broken: egg prices skyrocket

Three of my favorite breakfast spots have added a $1 surcharge for egg dishes. Can't blame them. Trump has caused egg prices to go through the roof. This despite his promise that there would be zero inflation and food prices would drop like a rock AS SOON AS HE TOOK OFFICE.

Uh uh uh, MAGAs! Put away those excuses and apologies! Remember how you've all told us that inflation was BIDENZ FAWLT--because he was President when it was happening?

So who's President now, MAGA morons?

C'mon, let's hear the excuses! I'm going to go have an omelet before Trump kicks the prices up even further.

Below are egg prices under the last year of Joe Biden. Of course this is more a result depopulating 100 million chickens because of the Avian Bird Flu than real inflation.  Still, I'll wager anyone who wants, that the percentage gain in egg prices from Jan 20 2024 to Jan 19 2025 (Biden Eggs) is less than from Jan 20 2025 to Jan 19 2026 (Trump Eggs).  Any takers?

And with all the hand wringing and pearl clutching over Trump's Reciprocal Tariffs and their impact on inflation I'll further wager that in no month this year does the inflation rate exceed the June 2022 40 year record set by Slow Joe.  Any takers?

Charles, presentation of facts as you did won't matter to their ilk; they sound like a bunch of menstruating, spoiled sorority girls. At least for a couple more years..*shrugs*

I dont blame sitting presidents of either party for Bird Flu.

I dont subscribe to the idea that "anything bad that happens is the fault of the sitting president".

But our resident conservatives do.   At least when a Democrat is in office.   Funny how they lie to themselves, isnt it?

Fact:          Trump had 20% unemployment   (like the rest of the globe)

Charles:     Because their was a pandemic

Fact:          Joe Biden had 7% inflation (like the rest of the globe)

Charles:     What pandemic?

Yo, Charles, dumb fuck, are you oblivious to sarcasm? Obviously, food prices aren't the responsibility of or caused by the actions of the President--but MAGA says they are...when prices are high and Trump isn't President, that is.

Jest a'pointin' out yer hypocrisy, MAGA. Blame Biden if it's bad, praise Trump if it's good...regardless of whether either had anything to do with it.

You want someone to bet that inflation won't hit another 40-year record? What odds are you laying? Is the bet still good if there's another pandemic?
