Generally I believe if one chooses to trespass on a play field they should expect to be tackled. Obviously nobody should purposely cause serious injury but a bit of pain is reasonable.

Purposely? I believe that the player who tackled this moron was just doing what a football player does on the football field.

Maybe I wasn't very clear but I did not mean to accuse the football player of purposely causing serious injury.

I was just specifying that if someone did purposely cause serious injury then it would not be reasonable.

From what I have seen so far it looks to me like the football player's tackle of the trespasser was a reasonable amount of force.

Your inclusion of " Obviously nobody should purposely cause serious injury but a bit of pain is reasonable" obviously did exactly what you now claim you did not mean for your post to suggest.

That was not intentional. What I meant was something like.

"This tackle seems to be reasonable. One cannot trespass on a football field without expecting to be tackled. The football player wasn't attempting to cause serious injury just a bit of pain which is reasonable. If someone were to purposely cause serious injury to someone for trespassing that would probably not be reasonable."

Thank you for pointing out that my post could be confusing and giving me the opportunity to clarify.

I am pleased that you have explained what you meant. Clarity, even for myself, needs to be utilized whenever posting so that there is no confusion as to what one is saying.

David's post was stupid. Why make this non-issue political? Why babble about "the left"?

I didn't look at his Facebook post. Why does he dig up dog turds and bring them here, saying, "Come smell this"?

David tries to turn everything that happens under the sun into an excuse to bash "liberals" or "the left." He contributed to the sad political divide in this country.

If you don't care for my postings, block just me.

So...who is "the left"  The "animal rights activist" who ran onto the field?

Or the Facebook announcer...did he know the guy's mission?  What was the mission?

What an idiot.  Was he acting in support of animals...maybe rams?  LOL.

That player should have stayed on the bench, though.  JMHO.

Good for a laugh, though.
