Prices on TVs, smart phones, computers and other electronics will be taxed at the rate of 40% - 100% under Trump.
I'd stock up on what you anticipate needing the next four years. With black friday coming up now is the time.

And the goobers who voted for him because of inflation will come up with some rationalization.
Already bought a new gaming desktop PC and stocked up on clothes.
and I have my eye on a Samsung TV.
Also - I have 114K miles on my car. I was planning on driving it into the ground but maybe its a good time to trade it in.
But this may all be a bunch of BS. Who knows what he's going to do. I quit trying to predict years ago.

I wouldn't trade in my car if I were you. You're at the optimal expense-per-mile point at 114K--your car is almost fully depreciated but maintenance expenses are still low. The cheapest miles in the average car's lifespan are between 100 and 200K. Drive that sucker, as you say, into the ground, until something major goes wrong and it's not worth the expense to fix it.
I've put over 400K miles on each of the last two cars I owned.
We just bought 2 Samsung S24+'s. We've been thinking about getting them for a little while, saw a Black Friday deal on the Samsung website and decided this was a good time to get it done.
Black Friday just might be a real barn-burner as people rush to buy stuff that's about to become much more expensive.
Anyone wonder what's gonna happen to our export markets when the trade wars begin? American taxpayers had to shell out $28 billion to keep American soybean farmers afloat after Trump fucked them over.
Biden Tariffs
I didn't hear you guys wet your panties over this nugget full of Tariffs from Biden. What gives?
The tariff rate on certain steel and aluminum products under Section 301 will increase from 0–7.5% to 25% in 2024.
The tariff rate on semiconductors will increase from 25% to 50% by 2025.
The tariff rate on electric vehicles under Section 301 will increase from 25% to 100% in 2024.
The tariff rate on lithium-ion EV batteries will increase from 7.5%% to 25% in 2024, while the tariff rate on lithium-ion non-EV batteries will increase from 7.5% to 25% in 2026. The tariff rate on battery parts will increase from 7.5% to 25% in 2024.
The tariff rate on solar cells (whether or not assembled into modules) will increase from 25% to 50% in 2024.
The tariff rates on syringes and needles will increase from 0% to 50% in 2024. For certain personal protective equipment (PPE), including certain respirators and face masks, the tariff rates will increase from 0–7.5% to 25% in 2024. Tariffs on rubber medical and surgical gloves will increase from 7.5% to 25% in 2026.
Better stock up kids! Looks like everything will get more expensive RIGHT NOW! Everything electronic uses semiconductors! And all that steel and aluminum...wooo.

I have mentioned more than once that I don't agree with Biden's tarriffs on some things like automobiles. I don't agree with the prohibitions on the sale of phones made by Chineese companies.
But yes any big ticket items you think you may need in the next four years should be purchased before Trump takes office especially electronics.
да, товарищ?

if you're buying big ticket items in this economy you're in the top 1% or loading up your credit cards. With a massive market correction 15 years overdue, its bound to kick off when the dollar loses its global reserve currency status. I wouldn't be getting that 120" TV in anticipation of tariffs.
Alternatively you might consider beans and bullets and iodine tablets for the nuclear war your fearless leader is working on furiously to start before he hands over the keys to the reasonable and peace loving party.

Dang, what kind of work do you do? The prices of the daily things I buy went up, but over the last 9 to 10 months many of them have come down. The offset is the income increases that my wife and I have had, just curious, what kind of work do you do that you can't afford a $995 65" TV?
