Qanon is a nutjob conspiracy theory group--I won't repeat their lunatic positions here. I also am not going to debate with our Trumptards re the validity of their "philosophy."
It seems that several Republican congressional candidates are Qanon disciples. One such believer is Lauren Boebert, who owns a restaurant called Shooter's Grill in Rifle, Colorado. She forces all of her waitstaff to carry guns while on the job and herself, struts around with a holstered pistol at all times.
Now, I know that gun love is fetishistic and pseudo-sexual. I'm sure that many of her customers are actually titlllated by all the gals totin' shootin' irons--rather than replused, as normal humans would be. Maybe she's just figured out a working business model for where she is; the Western Slope area of Colorado is notorious for being one of the most radically conservative areas of the country. Gun love is highly prevalent there.
Where I live, there's a breakfast cafe I call the Gun Love Diner--the first thing you see when you walk in is a poster with a gun being pointed directly at you and the message "WE ENCOURAGE OUR CUSTOMERS TO CARRY FIREARMS." That's just what you want to see first thing in the morning! It's only a matter of time before some yahoo comes in and shoots up the place because his home fries are underdone.
Boebert's candidancy and that of others like her is a blessing for their Democratic opponents. Several districts that were nestled firmly in the Republican bosom may flip, including hers. You listen to her, she sounds like a raving lunatic. She apparently fervently believes in the Deep State and all that other associated nonsense.
I wonder if this is indicative of a larger trend--the Republican party disintegrating into a motley collection of fringe groups. If so, that will hasten its destruction. Good news!
