Aside from the truth or fairy tale nature of this, I can see why "Aunt Jemima" is a stereotype that could offend some people. It's certainly outdated.
I don't think black people really like to be portrayed, in the media or advertising, as servants...any more than they would have liked to be portrayed as slaves. And yeah, Aunt Jemima was portrayed as a jolly cook who made good syrup, so ostensibly, not offensive.
However, I do understand that when some people may be offended by such a portrayal, it's probably the civil and polite thing to do to modify that portrayal. Of course, whenever that's done, the MAGAs, etc. bleat WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE WOKE...utterly reflexively, and without thought...like the goobers on this board.
