Qualified immunity--thread #2

This is a new thread, wherein the critical concept of qualified immunity might be rationally discussed.

Our resident Trumptards hijacked the previous thread, using it as a nonsensical way to attack me, because they lack the intellect to understand the concept. I was hoping for some actual input from others REGARDING THE SUBJECT.

DonDiego posted some interesting information in response. Then the Trumper pigs started flooding the thread, and eventually, even DonDiego took their lead in making a ridiculous accusation. Any chance for serious discussion was lost.

So since I think the concept of qualified immunity is so relevant in recent events, I'd like to give it one more try. Tell us what you think of the concept and attempts to modify policing in light of a reexamination of it.

Or, befoul yet another thread with your lies and insults. Your choice.

You expect a "rational" discussion to a posting containing - "Unsurprisingly, the Republicans are against it. Also unsurprisingly, their argument is a doomsday scenario wherein the cops will have their hands tied and all them darkies will take over etc. etc. blah blah blah.---------- That statement was not necessary and you left it out of this posting. If you wish for honest, truthful discussion then stop with the denigrating put downs and the racist references to Black people. Your choice.

Poor old DonDiego did  NOT  make  ANY  accusation in the original thread.

He  DID  state a fact.

Oh, well, I tried---it was a longshot at best.

I tried reposting the subject, just to see if a) there might be some rational discussion, and b) our Trumpers could maybe, just maybe, respond without personal attacks.

I'm such an optimist sometimes.
