I assume that that the "contraception" being discussed includes the abortion pill.  Am I wrong?

Well, since your assumption is stupidly wrong, your question is moot. No one considers abortion pills to be contraceptives.

You might educate yourself on the topic before you start spouting off about "Liberals" blah blah blah. Contraceptives, in whatever form, stop conception--thus, the name. An abortion, by whatever method, can only be done if conception has occured. Two different things.
