The Russian investigation is ongoing, and you have an interesting definition of failure.
1. Trump’s former National Security Chair Michael Flynn has pled guilty to a felony.
2. Trump’s former campaign chair is looking at spending the rest of his life in prison.
3. Trump’s former deputy campaign chair and transition official has pled guilty to multiple felonies and will spend time in federal prison.
4. One of Trump’s former National Security Advisors has pled guilty to a felony.
5. Manafort and Gates’ lawyer has pled guilty to a felony.
6. 13 Russian Nationals have been indicted for various felonies.
Contrast this with Ken Star’s almost five-year-long investigation that only ended up with, “He lied about a blowjob.” As to Comey, I suspect that Mueller will ultimately conclude that Trump obstructed justice when he fired Comey.
As to the porn stars, playmates, babies’ mommas, sexual assault victims and other miscellaneous women Trump has wronged, he is going to get his ass nailed to the wall. The great thing about it is that he got caught because of his and Cohen’s own stupidity with their public statements and thuggish behavior. They gave the FBI an uncontested layup. I expect that Cohen will be charged within the next 30 days.

Cat got your tongue Doc? Meanwhile, in the Stormy Danials civil litigation, Michael Cohen via his attorney has announced his internet to plead the 5th.
“What is your understanding of where things stand with Mr. Cohen, your adversary in this legal contest about Stormy Daniels’s NDA?” anchor Nicolle Wallace asked Michael Avenatti.
“Well, we’ve learned moments ago — within the last two hours — that Michael Cohen will be filing a motion tomorrow in our case, an emergency motion, to stay or temporarily stop our case and the grounds for that motion are going to be that it is his intention to plead the 5th amendment against self-incrimination if our case goes forward, in light of potential criminal jeopardy that he finds himself in,” Avenatti revealed. “So, this is a stunning development.”
“Michael Cohen, who has been in essentially hand-to-hand combat with you over the enforcement of Stormy Daniels’s NDA is now going to plead the Fifth?” Wallace asked.
“Today we find out that it is his intention to plead the Fifth against self-incrimination in response to any questions that I may pose to him in connection with our case, they are going to seek an emergency stay,” Avenatti explained. “We are going to oppose that stay, we think we have very good grounds as to why there should be no delay in our case.”
“But make no mistake about it, we’re talking about the attorney to the President of the United States, the man that knows where a lot of bodies are buried,” he continued. “And we have learned within the last hour or two that it is his intention to plead the Fifth Amendment.”
Looks like we will be adding a number 7 to the scoreboard soon.
Manafort and Cohen are staying loyal to the President. There is a good chance they will receive a pardon in exchange for their allegiance and their silence. To you gamblers, what are the odds they get a free pass?
Not a single indictment about Trump/Russian collusion or Trump firing comey
Meanwhile there is a long history of Mueller engaging in malicious/shady prosecutions
His behavior in protecting Whitey Bulger & wrongfully convicting 4 men of Bulger's murders resulting in a $100m award to those men.
He pursued Steven Hatfill in the 2001 anthrax case & the FBI had to pay $5 million. Similiar tactics in going after Bruce Ivins
The illegal detention of more than 1,000 people after the 9/11 attacks.
Similiar aggressive tactics in going after Frank Quattrone
You might have missed the news last night where it was reported that Mueller is getting ready to send his report on the obstruction of justice portion of the case to the Justice Department. One of the areas cited in the reporting was the various instances of obstruction of justice committed by Trump and included in that was a claim of witness tampering. Specifically, that Trump offered pardons to Grand Jury witnesses in exchange for favorable testimony. So, it is probably not a good idea for him to do that again as he has already been caught.

The last refuge of every sleazy criminal defendant is to attack the prosecutor after he realizes the case isn't going his way. Trump and his supporters are acting like guilty drug traffickers, sex offenders, murders, and rapists as they are led into courtrooms all across the country in their orange jumpsuits to face justice for the first time.
The idea that a lifelong Republican prosecutor and former FBI Director appointed by a Republican president is somehow politically biased against a Republican president is ridiculous.
Mark may not have noticed, but not all Republicans are supporters of President Trump. Mueller is actually closer to comey.
Prior sins of malicious prosecution are forgiven as long as Mueller & his gang of Democratic supporters are out to get President Trump
What you and Spanky fail to get is that prosecutors are different animals than other government officials. Their first duty is to the law, not their party. While they may be Republicans or Democrats, Prosecutors are officers of the court first. Nobody that finds themselves under investigation by law enforcement gets to choose who their prosecutor is. They don’t get to say, wait I am a Democrat, so I want a Democratic prosecutor or wait I am a Republican, so I want a Republican prosecutor.
Trump says not only do I want a Republican prosecutor, but he also must be one that is willing to take a personal loyalty oath to me. He must agree despite his ethical and legal obligations that come with his profession, that his first duty is to me. That is simply not the role of a prosecutor. It never has been and never should be. Trump is lucky he drew a Republican prosecutor with a sterling reputation.
Anyway, I suspect Trump will clean house at the Justice Department any day or any minute now and we will soon be living under an illegitimate government headed by a dictator that has killed off the rule of law.
