Raise your hand if you think Trump did exactly what Iran wanted him to do

Think about it. No resistance to the raid...even though they have plenty of fighter jets and anti-aircraft missiles. No evacuation/removal of critical equipment from the supposed nuclear weapons sites. No attempt to disrupt the attacking planes' navigation or targeting.

In fact, no resistance or defense at all. Even though they knew the attack was coming.

I suspect that this is exactly what they wanted. Now, they have the pretext to do whatever they want in retaliation. And they can sell it more easily to their own people, as WE attacked THEM.

Maybe Trump got played...again.

I think he did what Putin and Xi wanted. Putin and Xi can use this as a precedent to directly intervene against us or anyone else if we "threaten" one of their allies.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if Putin escalates in Ukraine or if Xi used this as an opportunity to move on Taiwan.

Israel's military had softened up Iranian air defense systems ( essentially neutralized them and attained air superiority over Iranian airspace just prior to the US action). If you're indeed looking for a reason why the US was apparently able to complete the mission without much resistance, that may partially/ largely explain why. Further it's not rational to believe that Iran got "exactly what they wanted"..eg to 'allow' the destruction of their nuclear facilities just so they could enact retaliation after the fact. That just doesn't make sense and doesn't line up well with the long- lived US / Iranian antagonistic history.

They gonna try and impeach Trump again over this action; DC Theater deja vu.

You're making a logical error, urged on by MAGA and stimulated by Trump's triumphant crowing.

How do we know that we destroyed anything but a few empty buildings?

Think about it. They knew such an attack was coming, from Israel or the US. They had plenty of warning. Why would they leave everything valuable at the target sites?

We assume that our intelligence is up to date and accurate. Why?

Consider that Trump now thinks that Iran's nuclear weapons program has been destroyed. It's the perfect cover.

Something about all this smells funny.

Putin is apparently already jacking things up. And Xi has talked about selling Iran anti-aircraft defenses.

It's unbelievable that Trump and MAGA think that his widdle war won't have any negative consequences.

No, Israeli military actions had largely dismantled air defenses and related infrastructures prior to the US intervention. It was in the news since early June prior to any indication of the strike. That duck waddled and quacked before the bunker busters happened.

And how did Israel, or we, know that such damage had indeed been done? I very much doubt that Israel has on-the-ground intelligence sources in Iran's military. And satellite photos wouldn't have shown jack diddly.

Again, we don't know if we just blew up a bunch of empty buildings. As you say, Trump and Israel have been barking at Iran for some time now. If their air defenses had truly been neutralized, would they leave all their equipment, materials, and personnel exposed to attack? Remember, they're a dictatorship. If they needed to mobilize 1,000 soldiers to squirrel away the contents of those facilities, they could have done so instantly.

Plus, it's highly doubtful that Israeli attacks have completely neutralized their air defenses. So MAGA would have us believe that they had no defenses...but left it all exposed to bombing anyway.

Oooookay.

I know that Turd loyalty makes MAGA believe everything the stable genius says, but really, dude...do we really know that we did anything other than make a few giant holes in the ground?

Nines, the military leaders, despite Trump's claims, are saying the structures are damaged not destroyed. An earlier assessment by the military, said it would take a month of continuous bombings to completely destroy the facilities.

Um, Isael took out Iran's ability to do most anything, plus our aviation stealth technology that Kevin has argued against allowed the US to end any immediate threat of Iranian nukes.  Kevin loves Iran, so of course he wants to paint a tainted picture of the truth.

Kevin supports the country and people in America who chant "Death to America".
