Ran Across This Headline and Had to Click It. Funny! Better then TDS

Trump has a new nickname from Wall Street, the TACO trade, buy when he announces a tariff and sell when he lowers or postpones the tariff. It's been a money maker!  TACO =Trump Always Chickens Out

Trump erupts over Wall Street's 'TACO trade' nickname for his tariffs

""TACO trade" was coined this month by Financial Times columnist Robert Armstrong to describe how many investors have responded to Trump's whiplash tariff policy by buying into the market dip that follows Trump's tariffs, on the assumption that the market will rebound once Trump flip flops."

Trump, being a liar as well as a coward, can't ever be trusted to keep his word, so the only surprise is that the market is still reacting so quickly to his flip-flops. The best strategy would be to ignore what he says initially.

He gave those who have yet to get the memo a clue: "It's called negotiation." Yes, very Turdy! Make an outrageous demand and hope that the other side is so shocked that they'll concede to whatever you wanted all along. Sort of like the guy at the garage sale asking $50 for a used dog dish and "settling" for $5, when he would have taken $1.

Call it whatever you want, but it seems like good strategy.  Any change in policy and Kevin and the media freak out and drive down the markets.  Smart investors laugh, buy low knowing it;s going back up.  Much better odds than the casino, and probably just as much fun if you have the bankroll.

I bet the market is up tomorrow on the news Trump's tariffs are void.

Gambling on the flip-flopping of a United States President, awesome! That's the kind of leadership everyone wants! Haha.

You are probably right Mark, but they might drop next week when they find a work around.

This picture suddenly makes sense

When a normal President announces an utterly moronic policy that will create drastic inflation and a global recession, that causes justified alarm. You MAGA pigs can call it "freak out" if you want, but please remember how YOU reacted to Obamacare, student loan forgiveness, child tax credits, and other Democrat policies that helped ordinary people.

Forget how you reacted? OK, I'll tell you. You freaked out.

I agree that we should have known that your orange hero was either lying, trying to do something illegal, or both (both!), and just ignored his babble.

We should also know that ANY Trump policy, IF enacted, will fuck over the economy...so perhaps the best market move is to gauge whether he's serious or not. Since even he never knows, that's a tricky one.

That's the kind of President I want, one who pledges to uphold the Constitution, then has to find a "workaround" when the courts rule his actions are illegal.

I'm amazed how MAGA supports a President who rules by Executive Order and completely ignores the other branches of government.

Max ,  I did think it was funny, and would make a great SNL skit.  Hopefully the markets continue upwards inspite of or because these changing policies.
