Rand Paul Has COVID-19 Mike Lee and Mitt Romney Sidelined

Paul tested positive despite being asymptomatic. Lee and Romney are under self-quarantine because they had close contact with Paul.

A couple of issues came up with Paul’s test.

1.  Why did he get tested in the first place as he was asymptomatic?  People all over the country are being denied tests even when they are symptomatic including the doctors and nurses treating people.

2. While Paul was waiting for his results, rather than isolate himself, he decided to work out in the Capital Gym and go swimming exposing other people.

Now, Mark, you know that a fundamental tenet of Republicanism is, "The rich and powerful get everything first." Surely you wouldn't have wanted to waste that test kit on one of the little people??

Who to believe? Doctors and nurses on the news are saying they are out of masks and have to reuse their masks.  The Trump administration is saying millions of masks have been shipped out.   One more question, Why if the new is saying people don't need to wear masks, they won't help, and the medical community is begging for masks?

Typical liberal thought process - if I can think of it, it should of happened yesterday or last week ...

cjen, the mask functions as a physical barrier to protect those in close contact from an infected person's droplets from sneezing, coughing.   The virus finds its way to our lungs when the droplets land on our face, and then we touch our face, nose, mouth, eye area.  Or we pick up droplets from any surface, handshake, etc. and touch our face.  That's why they are telling us not to touch our face.  Hard not to do.

And of course the really frequent handwashing is really critical.  Because we will touch our faces by habit.  If we've washed our hands before/after everything when in public we lessen the chance of infecting ourselves, since the virus apparently can live a while on surfaces.

You see healthy people out in public, in a grocery store, etc. wearing a mask just because they think they need to wear one everywhere because there is an outbreak, but that is a waste of a mask.

I'll give you a shortcut. If two people are saying contradictory things, and one of them is Trump, he's the one who's lying.

I don't see the point in Trump bragging about the "very soon" impending miracle cure, trillions of masks now available, squillions of test kits, hand sanitizer raining from the sky, blah blah blah. I mean, who believes him any more?

Oh, I forgot. "The base."

If President Trump was in the gloom and doom business, liberals would be chastising him for that. Since he is not in that business, he is being chastised. The hatred continues...

If the mask prevents droplets from an infected person who is sneezing and coughing from entering my lungs.  I want a mask too, not until there are plenty to go around and the medical community has their needs met first. When will that be?  How soon does everyone guess I can get a mask?  I'm 71, thankfully in pretty good health. People over 60 are the most vulnerable.  Anyone else want a mask?

General Bone-Spur is not into gloom and doom--he is into magical talk:  "we have it under control," "we are at 14 cases going to zero," "we have this medicine that is 100% effective," "one day you will wake up and miraculously it will be gone," "if you are sick, you can go to work," "everyone who wants a test can get a test," "I'm a smart guy, I understand this stuff."  Oh, and by the way, "it's Obama's fault."

You need to complain about "the hatred" at least 100 more times, since the first 100 clearly didn't convince anybody.

Trump shouldn't be pretending that this crisis is less serious than it is. If you want to call treating it seriously "gloom and doom"--if you think the deaths of tens of thousands of people is no big deal--then put on your cute cheerleader outfit and go dance in front of the White House.
