I admit that I don't know all the facts, but doesn't he have the right to seek and get medical treatment where ever he chooses? Or is this just another made up liberal mountain made up out of a mole hill?

Sure he is entitled to seek treatment anywhere he wants, but it is hypocritical for him to seek treatment in Canada when he has spent his whole political career bashing it as some horrible form of slavery, with long waits for patients and a lack of innovation. According to him and other conservatives, America has the best health care system in the world, so why does he need to go elsewhere?
Those who are in the Candian system do tend to wait for surgery. Rand Paul is not in the "system", and is likely paying with American insurance, or possibly he's paying cash...............moving him to the front of the line.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good narrative. Rand Paul is going to a private hospital for surgery to correct injuries suffered when he was attacked by a wacko, left wing neighbor. He is paying himself and going to the equivilent of the Mayo Clinic for non-mesh hernia repair.

Once again, the liberal know nothings here on this site attempt to distort the truth in able to push their hatred agenda. I am not surprised.
If you read the whole article, you will see his total cost is only $5,000 - $8,000. If you have the same surgery in the U.S., you would be lucky if your out of pocket after your insurance paid was that low.
And the costs are so low because of the price controls on treatment up there. Paul's choice to get treatment up there destroys conservative arguments against socialized medicine. 1. Costs are lower even for those who have to pay out of pocket. 2. There isn't any wait for treatment. 3. There is still innovation. 4. America doesn't have the best health care in the world as Paul has just demonstrated by his feet.
