After I complained about the pissing contest that passes for discussion here, Kevin Lewis wrote:

That sounded hopeful, but SINCE writing that here is a medley of some of Kevin's latest:

"He's ["Stalker"] also one of the meanest people ever to crawl on this earth."

These kinds of taunts and jeers are as ineffective and absurd as swearing at inanimate objects that are not cooperating with you. They demean their author more than they demean the objects of their invective.

I'm only writing this, because Kevin is an intelligent, articulate person. The people with whom he engages in the pissing contest sound like the "Lock Her Up!" crowd.

No intelligent person would go to a Trump rally and approach people with "Killary" tee shirts and tell them they were stupid, but that's what Kevin is doing here.

There is a fine line between "intelligent" and " insanity" - Kevin crossed that line years ago. Ask anyone who has met and knows him. 

I tend to agree with you. However, our Trumpers are parroting all the various shit that the propaganda factory is churning out, and it's really hurting our country--and killing people. That makes me angry, because I love this country. I also know dozens of people who are in particular danger from Trump's "harmless" coronavirus, and it's likely that at least one or two will die, as almost everybody will eventually be exposed to it. That makes me angry. And Republicans and Hannity and Fox News are trying to profit from all this--which makes me very, very, angry.

All of us decent, rational people here tend to succumb to the urge to respond to the nasty, evil, stupid ravings of our Trumpers, because they are shitting on our society and our country. However, you're right--responding to them is worse than useless. Conflict and arguing is what they want. In the time I've spent acknowledging the existence of these cretins, I could have been doing something useful. Anything.

So thanks for pointing that out.

Jeff - Kevin has repeatedly called for the deaths of conservatives, Republicans & groups that he disagrees with. 

When called out on this he always had a lame excuse that this type of behavior is acceptable. 

For unknown reasons the LVA seems to tolerate this.   I for one wouldn't mind if political posts were discontinued. 

Since Tom participated in political discussions for years, I suspect his change of heart has more to do with not wanting to discuss the failures of the Trump administration and what it means for this country.  

As to Kevin, I think his posts are fine. I guess some of you don't remember the old forum or at least weren't on the receiving end of stuff that went on there. Over the years, I received serval PMs where different people threatened me personally and physically simply because they didn't like what I said.  I think that is a hell of a lot different than making non-personal hyperbolic claims about conservatives in general that aren't members of this forum. 

Trump is a failure and people are going to die because of his incompetence. Our for-profit health care system isn't designed to deal with a pandemic.  Conservatives need to put their big girl panties on and deal with it. 

Only Stalker has personally threatened me. He's on a different level than our other Trumpers--and I don't mean that in a good way. Since I joined these forums, he's attacked and insulted me over five hundred times. That's not political partisanship or ideological differences--that's a sickness. Fully three-quarters of his posts have been nothing other than saying I'm sick or crazy etc. etc. Obsessive behavior!

Tom says he's "called me out." Oh, really? He objects to something I say and I collapse, quivering in fear? Ha! I don't give a shit what he thinks or says. He's a moron with poor reasoning skills and an alarming lack of knowledge about some of the most basic things. I take his constant disagreement with me as very reassuring.

Boilerman isn't as horrible as those two. He actually attempts--and usually fails, God bless him--to construct a rational argument of some kind. His problem is that his thinking is poisoned by many elements of conservative dogma. He lacks the ability to break free of that.

Their common denominator is unreasoning, unthinking Trump-love. They've made utter fools of themselves twisting themselves into knots trying to justify Trump's actions. I don't know what they get emotionally from this fawning, slavish behavior. I think that only Stalker is inherently, actively evil.

They're like barking dogs next door. You'd like to toss a poisoned steak over the back fence, but ultimately, you have to just put up with them. The world needs people on all ends of the spectrum, after all.

500 hundred times? Prove it. Stating that you are sick AND crazy happens to be the truth. Ask anyone who has has the misfortune to have met and know you. As for you, you are like the rabid dog, growling, snapping, and spewing your disease where ever you go. 

For those of you keeping score at home, Stalker has made eleven posts in the last 24 hours, all of which had no content but an insult aimed at me. Since I've been posting here for almost two years, and Stalker has been here a lot longer than that---do the math. If anything, 500 (not "500 hundred") insult/name-calling posts is a low estimate.

I AM providing a social service--who knows what harm Stalker would do if he turned his anger elsewhere? He keeps threatening violence. Who knows what he's capable of?

Anyway, that's the last i have to say on the subject. Stalker will post another insult on this thread, and many others elsewhere, but I'll ignore him, and so should everyone else. Don't afford him the dignity of a response.

If anyone is keeping count, try counting the number of filth strewn, lying postings by Kevin. Bring your calculator and extra batteries.
