If the protesters followed the directions of the police nobody would have been hurt.
The number of riots at conservative protests is zero. The number of police injured is zero. The number of conservatives injured is zero. The amount of property damage, looted & burned is zero.
Note the difference.
Yeah, lots of people were hurt in the South demonstrating against discrimination and segregation. Some were murdered. And if they had only listened to the cops everything would have been okay!
