The Republiholes scam Milwaukee

For the upcoming MAGA Trump Love "convention," the Republiholes somehow convinced the city of Milwaukee to pay for the whole damn thing, on the premise that it would bring beaucoup $$$ to the area. Not only that, they managed to convince restaurant owners to refuse any non-MAGA bookings, in order to ensure that there would be seating for hungry Republiholes--plotting the demise of democracy is hard work, after all.

It now turns out that both hotel and restaurant bookings are way, way below what the MAGA morons promised, and both hotels and restaurants in the convention area will be largely empty for the duration. It seems that a party to worship and anoint the Turd--in essence, just another Turd hate rally--isn't going to be as compelling an event as the Republiholes thought.

So restaurants and hotels will sit idle and empty for several days of what would otherwise be peak season, and the city won't get nearly the tax revenue it hoped for to pay for the extra police presence and other expenses (not to mention booking the convention hall). Just another Republihole scam. Why are we not surprised?

Milwaukee county voted 79% for Biden in 2020.  I agree with Kevin...they're stupid.

I used to live in Wisconsin and Kevin didn't.  Other than Milwaukee and Madison,  the state's voters are smart.  Thanks for proving my point.

I'm just saying that the wildly Liberal voting base in Milwaukee is stupid, and thank you pointing it out.  There aren't enough Republicans in Milwaukee too approve a stupid deal.

Truthfully, Repulicans should keep a low profile in Wisconisn after the incredbly embarrassing Foxconn plant that never happened - which left Wisconisn  tax payers on the hook for several hundered million dollars.    Thats just one reason why Wisconsin has gone blue since MAGA fucked them over.    

By contrast, have Boilerman explain to you how Democrat investment in economic and industrial growth is creating thousands of jobs near his university at Purdue.

I'm wouldn't call the Eli Lilly pharma campus a "Democrat investment".  I wouldn't call the South Korean computer chip company a Democrat investment.  I wouldn't call the Rolls Royce jet engine R&D facility a Dem investment.  The only reason for this investment near Purdue is because of the magnificent success of hyper Conservative Mitch Daniels, Purdue past president, making Purdue a better place than ever.

So Trump is smart and cut a good deal.  Liberal Milwaukee is stupid, and cut a bad deal.  That sounds about right.
