The Republiholes scam Milwaukee

You record of honesty is a known quanity - so lets not ask you what you would call it.   Lets ask your Republican Senator what he calls it.

Boilerman's Senator, Todd Young (R) touts Biden's Chips Act in his state

"The CHIPS and Science Act also established the Microelectronic Commons program, under which my state of Indiana has been designated the leader of the Silicon Crossroads Microelectronics Hub,” said Young. “This regional partnership was designed to accelerate the prototyping of advanced microchips. The Hub will bolster private investments that will secure our country’s advantage in leading-edge semiconductor design, which is very important to our national security. This and other partnerships have already drawn more than two billion dollars in publicly-announced private investments into the state of Indiana alone. Great things are being made in Indiana thanks to the passage of the CHIPS and Science Act.”

Oh, thanks for that !     Another opportunity to smack down lyin Boilerman !

Take a trip down memory lane.

Trump courts and brags about the FOXCONN jobs he's bringing to Wisconsin.=

And that went about as well as his replacement for Obamacare.

Trump lies.   People like Boilerman are gullible enough to believe him

Biden brags about (1) the influx of millions of illegal aliens, (2) inflation, (3) the economy, (4), gas and energy prices, (5) food prices - you get the picture. People like PJ are gullible enough to believe that Biden is doing a good job for America.

Boiler thanks PJ for pointing out that Indiana Republicans support a business friendly environment, leading to massive recent investment within our state.  It's a wonderful thing.  I can only wonder why they didn't put this money in California??

For the upcoming MAGA Trump Love "convention," the Republiholes somehow convinced the city of Milwaukee to pay for the whole damn thing, on the premise that it would bring beaucoup $$$ to the area. Not only that, they managed to convince restaurant owners to refuse any non-MAGA bookings, in order to ensure that there would be seating for hungry Republiholes--plotting the demise of democracy is hard work, after all.

It now turns out that both hotel and restaurant bookings are way, way below what the MAGA morons promised, and both hotels and restaurants in the convention area will be largely empty for the duration. It seems that a party to worship and anoint the Turd--in essence, just another Turd hate rally--isn't going to be as compelling an event as the Republiholes thought.

So restaurants and hotels will sit idle and empty for several days of what would otherwise be peak season, and the city won't get nearly the tax revenue it hoped for to pay for the extra police presence and other expenses (not to mention booking the convention hall). Just another Republihole scam. Why are we not surprised?

More unsubstantiated drivel from kevin.  Attendance will be 50,000.. All of whom will need hotel rooms as well as F&B.  Doubt Milwaukee does that on a regular basis.

I'm just saying that the wildly Liberal voting base in Milwaukee is stupid, and thank you pointing it out.  There aren't enough Republicans in Milwaukee too approve a stupid deal.

No, idiot, I'm saying that the question of funding the Republihole Trump-fest wasn't put before the voters, or they would have shot it down.

Yes, Trump knows how to scam people. You're so proud, I know.

Those Indiana Republicans, ALL of them, voted against the bill that is now funneling hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars toward their home state.

Ask them about that, and why they're suddenly so enthusiastic.

It is impractical for cities to put every convention/trade show/business relocation etc up to a vote.  Nothing would ever get done.  That is why cities elect city councils.

Stupid kevin

And those city councils are elected by the voters, so putting a decision in their hands is not much different than putting it to a direct vote. But didn't I already say that the voters didn't get asked whether or not to fund the Trump love-fest? Can't you read?

Stupid Tom lacks cognitive ability, so I'm posting this link not for him, but for anyone else who's curious.
