The Republiholes scam Milwaukee

Yeah, that's why nobody lives there. That's why if California was a country, it would have the sixth largest economy in the world. Because nobody's making a profit.

God, you say some really stupid things.

I wonder if Kevin has ever been to Milwaukee? He'd love it, full of demcrats, chicks with dicks and plenty of crime!

Most cities in the US tend toward the liberal side of the spectrum.

Most cities in the US experience more crime than, say, Bumfuck, Kansas, because...drum roll, please...they're larger.

I don't know what planet you come from, but "chicks with dicks" is something that is anatomically impossible, by definition.

And yes, I have been there, but so what? What I was saying applies to any city that might be swindled into becoming a MAGA nest for a week. The RepubliQ got there by lying through their teeth about the economic benefit that the MAGAfest would bring. For instance, hotel occupancy--almost every major hotel near the convention site is owned by a corporation that isn't based in Wisconsin, let alone Milwaukee. So the city will never see that money.

Very Trumpian scam.

California has a multibillion-dollar budget deficit. Here’s what you need to know --SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California has a huge budget problem that could force thorny decisions from Democratic leaders who enjoyed a more than $100 billion surplus just three years ago. This is the second year in a row the nation’s most populous state is facing a multibillion-dollar shortfall. State revenues have continued to fall amid increasing inflation and a slowdown in the state’s usually robust technology industry. --https://apnews.com/article/california-budget-deficit-18ff9c1ec885ec5bc69e790a836d9bdd#:~:text=(AP)%20%E2%80%94%20California%20has%20a,facing%20a%20multibillion%2Ddollar%20shortfall.

I doubt that Milwaukee ever hosts a convention with 50,000 daily attendees for 5 days needing room & board and using an arena that would normally be empty.  So this is a win for the city

The "room" money will go into the pockets of the big corporations that own the hotels. Not Milwaukee.

The "board" money that is not spent within the hotels will be spent at restaurants that were told to not accept bookings or reservations for the convention period, and will thus be half empty during what would otherwise be high season. A tie at best, most likely a loss--for Milwaukee.

Fifty thousand gun-loving, black people-hating MAGAs will be descending on the city. This will require a massive police presence. A huge expense for Milwaukee. There will be huge and lengthy traffic disruptions, especially when Trump arrives in his sedan chair. Those will be costly as well.

All for a stupid ceremonial exercise to crown the next king--or at least, they hope so.

So Trump is smart and cut a good deal.  Liberal Milwaukee is stupid, and cut a bad deal.  That sounds about right.

I work in Milwaukee currently.  Liberal Milwaukee is very stupid.  I drive in to work and can't wait to get the hell out of the crap hole.

Yes, when a MAGA love-fest drains the city's coffers and shuts down local businesses, the decision should be put in the hands of those most affected--the voters who live and work there.

I know that democracy is an alien concept to you.

Most of them are busy at the city casino blowing their welfare checks to be bothered with voting for this thing.  (Worst casino in US)

BTW, see Cavalier Johnson their mayor.  Oh boy.....

My point is that they were never asked whether or not their taxpayer dollars should be put in Trump's pocket. Obviously, that's where every dollar ponied up to the RNC is going.

If Kevin believes the deal is dumb, he has only dumb Democrats to blame.  Yet he somehow blames Trump for being smart and cutting a great deal.
