Research for screenplay regarding living conditions for Vegas residents near the strip

I am interested in learning if the lights from the strip are bright enough where it could potentially impact the resdients who live  closes to it.  For example, would the flashing lights shine thru the windows of the nearby residential homes, to the degree  it would potentially become tiresome or disturbing? ( when the shades are not down or curtains closed.)  Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much in advance for any replies!

Someone who might be affected would have to be pretty clueless to rent or buy such a place. Properties near the casinos are valuable because of easy proximity to jobs, so if someone doesn't like it, another person will quickly take their place.

It's not really any different from living in the urban core of any other large city.
