Ah, yes, Ronny Raygun, conservatives' deity figure, who, sinking into the depths of Alzheimer's during his presidency, almost got us into a nuclear war--multiple times.

He was a far, far better human being than Trump, but there are major similarities between the two and how conservitards adore both of them. Both had not the slightest fucking idea of what they were doing, and for both, that didn't matter at all. They "set the tone." For Reagan, it was "Amerika" and blind "patriotism." For Trump, it was simple, crude assholery (which appeals to a shocking percentage of the American electorate).

I seriously doubt that. Reagan was a lot of things, but being a traitor wasn't one of them.

Also, Reagan appealed to a broad range of Americans, whereas tRump doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself, as his historic and disgraceful impeachments have shown.
