Why don't you boys quit bickering. Anyway, David, tell me first of all how you can deduce that I'm a liberal (as opposed to someone who knows enough about history and about human nature to be alarmed by the current administration). Also explain to me what's inherently wrong about being a liberal.

It's kind of silly that "liberal"--which simply means "open to change"--and "woke"--which simply means "culturally aware"--have been turned into pejorative terms by MAGA. Every sentence out of their mouths is exactly the same: "Radical liberal liberal radical woke woke woke woke woke belch grunt snort."
You want another parallel? The term "Duckspeak" in "1984." Just like today's MAGAs.

Calling someone a "liberal" is a political insult when used as slang by political opponents, and it can imply they are overly progressive, out of touch, or out of touch with common people

He knows what it supposedly means when foolishly and wrongly used as a childish insult. He asked you what is supposedly ACTUALLY "wrong" with being a liberal. Do you know what "inherently" means?
I am proud to be a liberal. And I am proud to say I consider myself part of the AOC wing of the party.

I'm proud to be a liberal as well. The definition of liberal is "open to change," and that's something you have to be in today's world. Our government is unfortunately dominated by conservatives whose values and worldview are stuck in the 1950s.
I'm also proud to be woke--cultutally sensitive.

Out of touch with common people? I think we can agree that civil rights and affordable healthcare are both fundamental pillars of liberal government. There are plenty of non-white, foreign-born and LGBT common people in America, do they oppose civil rights? There are plenty of poor common people in America, do they oppose affordable healthcare?
