Scenes of Minneapolis - home of the PEACEFUL Protest

As usual, toad missed the entire point. Not unexpected.....

Kevin Lewis opines:

"Ideally, all protests would be completely peaceful. But I can think of only one example where they were completely so AND SUCCESSFUL--India in 1945-1947. People protest because they're angry--and a group of angry people can get violent. Particularly when the police are whacking them on the head, teargassing them, and shooting them."

Ahhhhh, . . . would that it were so, . . .

Calcutta, India, . . . 16 August 1946:

"Consequently, in July 1946, it [the Muslim League] withdrew its agreement to the plan and announced a general strike  (hartal) on 16 August, terming it as Direct Action Day, to assert its demand for a separate Muslim homeland.

Against a backdrop of communal tension, the protest triggered massive riots in Calcutta.  More than 4,000 people lost their lives and 100,000 residents were left homeless in Calcutta within 72 hours. This violence sparked off further religious riots in the surrounding regions of Noakhali, Bihar, United Provinces (modern Uttar Pradesh), Punjab, and the North Western Frontier Province.  These events sowed the seeds for the eventual Partition of India.

I was actually referring to the protests that led to India's independence from Britain. I may have gotten the time frame slightly wrong.

And yeah, when religion entered into it, the shit really hit the fan, as it always does.

His name is "Todd," and he disagreed with you. A heinous crime, indeed.

You can't "expect" everyone to see things the way you do, or to be more accurate, the way whoever cooked up whatever you're posting from Facebook today does.

Won't be long...

Don't feed the troll, Kevin.

Image may contain: 8 people, textRIP to these heroes that were killed trying to protect us law abiding citizens. I’m sorry that your sacrifice didn’t make headline news and didn’t cause an uproar with riots and protesting against these criminals. You gave your life trying to keep us safe. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
