The science is settled, Climate Change caused the fires

Like I said - You're not supposed to question 'special' people like Lewis. He has all the answers

Plenty of money for illegals and homeless but the taxpayers get screwed

The 2024-25 California state budget, which Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law in June 2024, slashed funding for wildfire and forest resilience by $101 million as part of a series of cutbacks according to an analysis by the state's Legislative Analyst's Office.

The Santa Ynez reservoir was empty..

Pj says northern Ca soesn't supply water to LA but according to ABC News in LA says.

About 40 percent of Los Angeles city water comes from state-controlled projects connected to northern California, where the Delta smelt live, and the state has limited the water it delivers this year.

Also from ABC

Mayor Bass said 20% of hydrants went dry.  A current LAFD member told the outlet some fire hydrants were not working in the Palisades area during the fires this week.

From the Daily Mail

Quiñones is being blamed by LA Fire Department (LAFD) insiders for leaving a nearby reservoir disconnected and fire hydrants broken for months, DailyMail.com can reveal, leading to firefighters running out of water as they battled the devastating Palisades Fire this week.

And lets not forget the hundreds of experienced fire fighters who were fired for not getting a jab.

While LA burns like Rome the democrats in the state legislature are having an emergency meeting to discuss trump proofing (not fire proofing the state.  Talk about living in a bubble!

This is a complete clusterf**k from the democrats & since they control the state they have nobody else to blame.

Thats right - the Santa Ynez resevoir was purposefully drained for maintenance.  And that has absolutely nothing to do with the northern California issue.  Nothing.

And, what is the complaint?  They arent allowed to ever do maintenance on the resevoir ?  Ever?   Its unfortunate that the timing occurred when it did.    BUt it has absoultely nothing to do with water supply which is what the local authorities keep saying they have plenty of.

So all we are left with is constipated MAGA people trying to exploit a natural disaster to shit on their political opponents.

Whats your next irrelevant variable ?   California cant put out the fires because Nancy Pelosi used all the water in her pool?   Thats about on par for your current list.

History shows that this is the time of the year when the Santa Ana winds are the strongest. Choosing to drain the reservoir was a terrible decision, as has been proven by the devastation in California by fires shows. Add to the fact that controlled burns were not and have not been done was a prescription for disaster. Both of these asinine decisions are the reason for the current devastation - Officials said that the Santa Ynez Reservoir had been closed since about February for repairs to its cover, leaving a 117-million-gallon water storage complex empty in the heart of the Palisades for nearly a year. - Governor Newsom launches investigation into why major SoCal reservoir was offline at start of fires - A reservoir that could've helped fire crews fight the Palisades Fire was out of use when the fire began destroying Los Angeles County. The Santa Ynez reservoir had been closed for repairs to its cover, and was empty of its usual 17 million gallons of water. California Governor Gavin Newsom, in a statement, ordered an investigation into the lack of water, said that Californians "need answers to what happened," and called the issue "deeply disturbing." -- https://www.2news.com/news/california/governor-newsom-launches-investigation-into-why-major-socal-reservoir-was-offline-at-start-of-fires/article_85df71b8-cfc3-11ef-8e9f-7b4942b02c3b.html

Never said the 2 were related.  The democrats have made numerous unforced errors that have contributed to this mess.

The resevoir was drained during wildfire season - not smart

You said northern Ca didn't send any water to southern CA, I pointed out that statement was incorrect.

This is not wild fire season which is why the fire and dry conditions are so unordinary.    And that gets us back to the subject of climate change which is another topic you ignore experts about

The reservior has been drained since last February -- 11 months --  just how long was it supposed to take to do the maintainance and why hadn't it been completed?

Conservitards slowed down the funding, calling it "unnecessary government spending." Then a drunk MAGA crashed his pickup truck into the damsite control building. And a MAGA shot the manager of the damsite because he was brown. The empty reservoir is taking longer to clean than expected because MAGAs keep peeing into it.

Sounds about right, typical deny and deflect that a liar would state.

It may surprise you to learn that the state that took 38 days to count votes in the presidential
election isn't at all prepared for wildfires. - John Durant
