Seattle, part 2

I'm still waiting for Minneapolis to eliminate their police department.  Those who have demanded this have never provided a reasonable solution to any societal problem in their lives.  They only whine and complain.  I'll expect more of the same.

tom inquires: How can the police disperse the crowd?

  i.  shoot the looter

ii.  sic the dogs on the 5-in-the-middle

iii.  observe the crowd disperse

It's all a matter of priorities.

Be careful Don, remember, the criminals "have rights".  Must not impose on their rights as they steal, burn destroy, and harm others.

The police should not "disperse the crowd," as doing so would violate the rights of the persons in that crowd.

They should identify and arrest those who are committing unlawful acts.

If they cannot distinguish between those who are acting lawfully and those who are not, what are they doing on the police force?

Duh.

"The police should not "disperse the crowd," as doing so would violate the rights of the persons in that crowd.

If they cannot distinguish between those who are acting lawfully and those who are not, what are they doing on the police force?" ---------Spoken like a true liberal imbecile.

It would seem to me that identifying people who are committing unlawful acts and arresting them is a fundamental duty and function of the police.

Stalker doesn't think so, apparently.

Yes, idiot, even criminals have rights. And definitely, SUSPECTS have rights. The police actually don't have the power to say someone is a criminal--only that they're a suspect. The police are NOT a court of law.

You had rights when you were brought up on those multiple assault charges. You wouldn't have said you didn't have rights just because you were a criminal.

Kevin lies, again.Who is called criminal?

crime (or misdemeanor or felony) is an act done by a person which is against the laws of a country or region. A person who does this is called a criminal.                                                                                                   When police apprehend  a person committing a crime, this person is called a criminal. They are no longer a suspect - they are a criminal. Police do not have to be "a court of law" when they apprehend a person committing a crime, this person is no longer a suspect, they are a criminal. The "rights" of a criminal do not supersede the rights of a non criminal.

That's exactly, 100% wrong. A person is not a criminal unless and until convicted of a crime in a court of law. If Stalker raped an entire Girl Scout troop, he would not be a criminal until charged and convicted. Until then, he would be a criminal SUSPECT.

The police can charge but not convict a person of a crime. Even my third-graders understand the distinction.

The fact that people who are arrested are suspects and not criminals is at the core of how such people are and should be treated, and is a matter of law.

Stalker bleats to the contrary are meaningless.

Read the Definition of a Criminal, Kevin. Go to Google and type in - define criminal. Now shut up your lying mouth.
