Cory Booker of New Jersey, a member of Senate Democrat leadership, vowed to "use every tool possible" to stop President Trump. Sen. Andy Kim of New Jersey said Democrats would shut down the government "if we have to." Democratic Sen. Jeff Merkley of Oregon said he’s open to shutting down the government. -The problem is, Democrats have been signing taxpayer-funded blank checks for years. Prices rose 20% under the previous administration. Democrats’ reckless spending – $5 trillion in four years – is why. Democrats want to block the return of fiscal sanity. - It is obviously true that the federal government wastes money. Our government is too big. It spends too much. President Trump’s federal audit has uncovered billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse - American taxpayers were spending $2 million to develop sustainable recycling models in the Balkans; $19 million on biodiversity conversations in Nepal; $47 million to improve learning outcomes in Asia; $1.5 million on voter confidence in Liberia, Africa; and $21 million for voter turnout in India. - This is senseless spending. Democrats support it. They’re willing to shut down the government to continue it - If there is a shutdown, it will be driven by and directed by the Democrats - "Democrats have done absolutely nothing positive for the American people. They have enslaved most of their supporters by shipping their jobs overseas and taken the incentive to work away by putting the jobless on federal Medicaid and welfare programs. They have defunded most law enforcement agencies, secured the loyalty of judges and state DA’s, redirected tax revenues to their own pockets, corrupted the once truthful national news media’s, corrupted the teachers teaching our young minds with their immoral values verses reading, writing, science, and math. They have divided and pitted Americans against each other as they did in the late 1800’s creating this country’s first civil war. So….what have the democrats done positive for Americans……"

            America will be well served if we defeat and remove every dem, from every office, at every level of government. - These entrenched,liberal Democrats, would rather destroy the whole country, than see Trump succeed !! -  This is what the Democrats do when they don't get their way. To hell with US citizens, we're going to shut down the government because we hate Trump. - Liberals lie and fearmonger, that's all they do. There isn't the slightest bit of evidence or facts supporting any of the positions liberal democrats have taken to validate any of their so-called claims. Their biggest concerns most likely lie with the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse being exposed, taking away their gravy trains in every aspect of government. For example, with the rampant fraud found in Social Security, clearly there were more funds available to Americans for a much longer period of time claimed, as apparently a significant amount of funds were being spent through Fraud, Waste, or Abusive means. The same is said for USAID, NSA, DOE, and more. When Medicaid and Medicare get a careful evaluation by DOGE, I expect more will be found. - The only promises Democrats keep are Decit, Division, Diversion and Despair. They are very consistent on those pillars. - A goverment shut down proves the dims are in office to line their own pockets, not serve America. The dims are angry because DOGE took away their piggy bank so they’re throwing a tantrum like AOC and Crockett. I’m looking foreward to the mid terms when more dims are told “You’re Fired!”

Democrats don't have the power to shut down anything. Quit lying to cover for the incompetency of the MAGA party and it's inability to govern.

  They do have the power in the Senate. You will get a first hand look at the corrupt DemocRats - the people YOU voted for - as they attempt to continue to ruin America.

" Democrats ‘concern’ for the solvency of Medicare comes only after they raided $716 billion from the program to pay for Obamacare and another $300 billion for a down payment on the Green New Deal. In the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” they used $300 billion of Medicare dollars to pay for phony Climate Change programs under the guise of saving the planet. Never vote Democrat.

Its very likely Republicans will have to go to Democrats to keep the government open.   They are incompetent and cant manage their own caucus.      

        You mean that the DemocRats are actually going to have to do their jobs and vote to pass legislation that will forestall the Government from shutting down?  How magnanimous of them. What a novel concept. 

That's not their job David. That's the consequence of Republicans winning the election. The Republicans are no longer the opposition party which means they have to govern. They seem to be having a hard time doing that. 

  That IS their job - what the fuck is wrong with you? This is not a game - it is our lives and future as Americans in America. Pull your head out of your ass - didn't you learn anything during the last 4 years?

lead and Republicans are in total control of the government so why can't they muster a minimal amount of competence and keep the government open? All they have to do is agree upon an approach among themselves.
